This is a great carseat. My little one has been using it from about a year old on, I think. It is heavy and big, but you can tell just by looking at and feeling it, it is heavy duty and safe. The extra airbag things on the sides make me feel better about the possibility of a side impact crash. The head supports seem to offer good protection. The straps are easy to adjust, although I usually "click" it a few times, because sometimes the first "click" will stop the straps at a coat, and I like to make sure it's good and snug. Compared to your average plastic carseat, this is SO much better. I feel it is a great investment, especially since it should fit until your kid can go straight to just a seatbelt. We love this seat, and intend to buy another one for Baby #2.

I have the britax boulevard also. I bought this seat to step it up for safety and did just that! My son loves it and it is comfortable that he falls asleep almost every time we are in the car! Worth every penny. It is large though if you have a sedan.

I bought this seat last summer when my son was 5 months old, he was maxed out with the Graco infant seat for height. I have a teeny tiny car, hatchback. This car seat takes up the entire backseat but FIT. Though bulky it is worth every penny. Easy to clean, and to take in and out of the car to use in other vehicles. I am only 5'1" so this car seat is massive to me but I am able to move it myself. My son is always very comfortable in it. My son is in 99 percentile for height and weight, and is still within the weight limit to safely keep him rear faced at 14 months now. Customer service is outstanding for Britax, my side cushion broke off and they sent out a brand new car seat to replace the broken one! HIGHLY recommend this seat to all parents/grandparents and so on!! Wouldn't put a price tag on the safety of any child.

So far we love this seat! Just looking at it you can tell it's very safe and comfortable compared to other seats. We didn't want to spend so much money but we aren't going to put a price tag on our daughters safety either. We just watched the price until we found a good sale.

I love this chair! When my daughter was finally able to get a forward facing one my husband and I decided to get one that would last for a long time. It is a bit bulky but pretty easy for me to move around and transport and I'm only 5'1". It's great that it has the side support on it and makes me feel a lot safer knowing that. The cover is super easy to get off and I LOVE the fact that in order to change the heighth of it, it's just a knob on the side instead of having to undo anything on the back. Love this seat!

when it came time to find the safest carseats for my twins. i wasn't gonna let price determine which product to get. i have quite a few friends that recommended the britax car seats. my wife and i started looking into it. and based off of the information we found, we knew that this would be the brand for us. these carseats have been great to us. the only downfall we have had with these carseats is its size. in our dodge ram given its big in size. with these seats installed rear facing. it didn't leave much comfortable space for a passenger, or my kids. now when it came time to forward face the seats everything turned out better. now in our mazda 6, these bulky seats just weren't made for that type of car. no space whatsoever. we now have a minivan which being a guy i hate to admit. theres nothing better than a minivan to fit these seats. bottom line, i recommend this seat to anyone and everyone.

Our son was getting too big to fit comfortably in his infant car seat, even though it was rated for up to 30 pounds. He's a big baby, at five months old he is 28 1/2 inches and 19.5 lbs, so we needed a seat that would 1)work rear-facing for at least another seven months, and 2)be capable of handling a bigger child for a long time. We were pretty set on Britax because of their safety record, and after visiting their website and viewing the information on the additional side impact protection of the Advocate we decided to go with this model. Yes, it was much more expensive than any other carseat on the market, but my thinking was this: heaven forbid that we are ever in a car accident, but if does happen I don't want to be wishing I had opted for the better carseat. Better to spend the extra money and know that I am doing everything I can to protect my son as much as possible from that situation. The extra money is worth the peace of mind for me. With that said, there are a few things to note about this seat. For starters, it is HUGE- both in width and its depth while rear facing. If you have a small car this seat may not work. We have an Acura MDX and an Acura TL and with the seat rear-facing it was too big to go in the middle of the backseats and have passengers sit comfortably next to it. We had to install it on the passenger side, and now one adult and one small adult or a child can sit next to it in the backseat. The front passenger seats cannot go all the way back, but will go back enough for an adult to ride comfortably without their knees in the dashboard. Also, while installation is not difficult to figure out, it is physically a big pain to do it and do it well. These seats were not meant to be shuffled between cars, and after installing it we actually purchased a second one for the other car. It's a bear to wrestle with to get it ratcheted really tightly and tethered in, and I can't imagine switching it between cars with any sort of frequency. I realize that by buying two I am paying a big price for convenience, but install one of these and you'll see what I mean. The only other negative is that the seat is hot. It's well padded, and the fabric is cushy, and that adds up to a lot of heat. But we live in Florida, and any seat is going to be hot, so that wasn't a deterrent for me. The straps are a bit difficult to tighten with the seat in the rear-facing position, but I like the fact that they don't twist around. The click-safe feature isn't really a big deal, I don't think it adds anything to the seat. The seat is very comfortable for my son, and he is well supported. The seat says you can use it from infant to 65 lbs, but I can't see putting a tiny baby in it. At 19.5 lbs we are using the inserts, and he fits comfortably with some room to grow before I have to remove them. After that, the seat is still big enough that it will be comfortable for the next few years. Bottom line, do some research, MEASURE out the footprint for the seat and check it against your car. For me, the safety benefits outweighed the cost, especially spread over a few years.

After my daughter grew out of her Chicco carseat it was time to look for a new car seat. I went with recommendations online and from friends and they all said nothing but great things about Britax. I agree with them all an I couldn't be happier!!It was easy to install, clean, and it is very safe! My daughter is very comfortable in it. I have a smaller size car and I have no problems with the fit and it is not too bulky. I love all the features and the extra protection on the sides. This is worth every penny and it will last for so long and we plan on using with our next child as well.
