We tried using this to swaddle our daughter, but it is too small. She has always been a strong little kicker and can kick right out since these are too small. We ended up finding a much better swaddling blanket that is 42"x 42" online - that is the size you need if you want to swaddle your babies for a while. The other thing with these Carter's blankets is that the quality is not good -- after a few washes, they looked old and were full of little pills. I was not impressed at all. You would think it would be easier for parents to find nice blankets in retail stores, but these definitely are not blankets to buy or put on your registry.

Design on these receiving blankets are absolutely adorable! LOVED THEM at first. Unfortunately, the color fades drastically. I would have purchased several more, but with the color fading they end up looking so worn out after just a few washes.

Great for swaddling for a few weeks, but the baby soon could easily kick out of the swaddle. Try Aden + Anais for a great swaddling blanket. They are $$$ but worth it.

as long as u wash them with cold water and by hand this blankets are more than ok the fabric is good they long enough for swaddling and they warm i have them in the lady bug theme and i love them

I got these because they matched my daughter's crib set really well. I washed them the first time, and I could really see a difference in color. Especially the brown with dot's. It not only faded horribly, but there were whites stripes where almost all the brown came out! I took it back and got it replaced, only to have it happen again. Never buying these. A package of little generic one's I got at [...] are lasting the wash better. So much to paying more for a better product, the cheap one's were only 5 bucks.

My daughter loves these blankets. There light weight and are easy to swaddle your child with.

They are cute and good for swaddling until the baby gets a little taller. Then if your child kicks like mine, they're not long enough and she kicks out of them.

They fade after just a few washes - and fade a LOT! I knew they had faded, but didn't realize how much until I saw them in the store again and compared them. Compared to new, they look extremely dull.

The fabric is nice. No problems with that.

These blankets were a lot larger than I had expected. I love them. They're very soft and perfect for swaddling any size baby.

My daughter loves these blankets. I bought three packs so we always have several on hand. They are so soft and wash really well. These Carter's blankets have stood the test of time for us. My 7-year-old still has a couple of his favorites from when he was a baby. They are still soft and wash great.

Carters makes the best recieving blankets.. these and any other design. They are big enough to wrap a baby in and can also be use for burping, etc. And I have no problem getting them clean.

these blankets are cute but i really don't like the feel of the fabric, and they didn't wash very good.
