What a fun horse and great idea! We liked the rocking feature and safety seat. We called the tek nek customer service and he was very helpful and mentioned that they had some screw issues but now fixed. They sent out what we needed without delay. Carson could not be happier. A secret for the parents-inside the battery compartment, you can switch it to high and low volume, and from a try me mode (where the sounds only work when you press the ears) to motion/galloping activated.

Originally got this for my son for his first birthday. Initially, it was great. The "seat" allowed him to gently rock by himself. However, once he got older and I had to convert it to the position that uses the springs more - my son has difficulty getting on and off himself. Given his new independence, he doesn't always like me helping him on and off. Also, the motion detector for the riding sounds are way to sensitive! It was go off when we are just walking around the house!!!!

I wish now that I had bought a more traditional rocking horse so he could use himself at this later stage.

It was very easy to put together. Both ears of the horse have a button to press for song and talk. I bought this for my sons 2nd birthday. He loves rocking and bouncing on it. He gets on the horse very well all by himself. I can see how a baby before they are one would be able to use this with the plastic seat to keep them safely on the horse. By a year and a half I wouldn't see the need for it anymore. At 2, he can't touch the floor with his feet when he's sitting on the horse. I can see him enjoying this until he's 4 or even 5.

It's a terrific toy at a terrific price. My 9-month-old grandson is enjoying it and will for years to come. It was easy to assemble. All of the different sounds and songs make it very special...it's not just a rocking horse.

I have a 20 month old son and an 9 month old. I love how it will grow with them and is low to the ground for now. I put the safety seat on when my 9 month old is on and it is very simple to remove so I take it off for my older son. They both absolutely LOVE it and have huge smiles the whole time and can't stop giggling. Though it was cute how the horses mouth moves when he sings too! Very easy to put together!! and VERY durable! Great buy!

I bought this as a gift for my 1 yr old niece and she went nuts for it. The "baby seat" was perfect to allow her to ride it by herself without Mom and Dad having to lean over to keep her upright. She was able to ride without the baby seat within a month. She can pinch the ears to make him sing and slap away to the music with her hands. Great gift, very happy with the quality and it was easy to put together at the childrens party. You'll know who is horse crazy right away. Being a horse family I bought the "boys" horse because its a real horse color, palomino. I'd buy it again in a heart beat.
