The Britax Roundabout 50 convertible car seat maintains many parent-approved features from the ever-popular Roundabout compact convertible car seat. With recent advancements in child safety and the best practice to keep children harnessed as long as possible, this Roundabout has been stretched to accommodate up to a 50 lb child. The Roundabout 50 features a tangle free, five-point harness with 4 harness heights and 3 buckle positions for a snug and secure fit. Higher forward-facing weight capacity allows children to remain harnessed up to 50 pounds. Premium push-button lower LATCH connectors provide a quick, simple and tight installation. Unique features include the patented Versa-Tether® for energy management, and rear- and forward-facing recline for child comfort and positioning. The Roundabout 50 fits children rear facing from five to 35 pounds and children forward facing from at least one year old and 20 pounds, up to 40 pounds. The Roundabout 50 is made in the USA with U.S. and global components.

I can say that I am glad that I spent the extra money on this car seat. It was easy to install, and fits great in my Ford Focus ZX3. My son loves to ride in mom's car! I really wanted to buy the Marathon for the extended weight and height limits, but my local BRU didn't carry it in this pattern. In comparison, the Roundabout is smaller than the Marathon, which I am glad since I own a small car.

I bought this as a second carseat for dads truck. My primary is a first years true fit. I debated the first time with this carseat but decided to go with the first years over simple features like cup holders seat belt covers extra padding. The first years dosent fit at the right angle in my SUV. I bought this one because I thought it would fit better in my husbands little truck. But I ended up keeping it for me. You have the option to sit it up or recline while the baby is in the seat. Something you think you can live without. You realise you can't once you have a seat that dosen't. Bottom line if I had to do it all over again I would have bought two of this seat. If I buy a carseat for a friend it will be this one. Would recommend to anyone.

I have the Britax Marathon and it is worth every penny. This is good for the money. I bought it for my newborn but it secured front facing a lot better than rear. I used my Marathon for the newborn in the end. Very soft fabric and he loves it. I really like the secure seat belt straps on the Marathon.

We bought this this for 13 month old. The seat fits her well and she will be able to grow into it. After reading many reviews online and in magazines this seat has all the saftey we were looking for as well as the reputation but not the high price. I learned that this seat is made from the same shell as the more expensive Marathon. This is also an exclusive at this retailer! Only downside is don't face your little one forward untill he/she is 25 pounds. The upright nature of the forward facing seat may not be the most comfortable for the little one when they fall asleep!

I haven't had the seat very long, but my daughter seems to love it. It is very soft & appears comfortable. Not a "bells & whistles" car seat (no cup holder or snack tray), very simple but also very safe. I like the fact that you can buy replacement parts for the entire seat and a new cover. The seat was easy to install & doesn't take up quite as much space as the Graco Snug Ride. I would definately recommend this seat. It is worth the money. The reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is it doesn't have a cup holder & it also doesn't come with strap covers for around the neck. If it came with those, it probably would be perfect!

This is such a wonderful carseat on many levels! 1. It is very safe and sturdy! 2. It is extremely comfortable . . . my 10 month old daughter loves taking rides in it. 3. It was super easy to install and ajusting the straps is a snap! 4. I love that it is both a rear and forward facing carseat. And last, but not least 5. It is very stylish! If you are looking for a quality convertible carseat, this is it!!

My search is FINALLY over for the perfect car seat. This car seat is wonderful in security, quality, size and function (plus the fabric is really plush and funky)! My 13 month old daughter kept sitting in it in the living room after we removed it from the box. Fits into my Kia Sportage nicely and will fit my child for a long time. Another plus is NO HEAD BOBBING during trips, has nice sides for resting little noggins. Overall *** Very happy w/ purchase. Highly recommend!

Was the only pattern available in the 50 pound limit model...didn't think I would like it, but it looks different than pictured and I love it!!! Functionally, my 14 month old boy, loves it too! I would have gotten 2 of these if I had known they upped the weight limit.
