I have used this car seat for about 5 months and have no complaints. I spent a lot of time researching and bought the Roundabout 50 for one car and the Eddie Bauer 3 in 1 deluxe for the other car. I hate hate hate the Eddie Bauer. I can't ever get it tight in the car or around my daughter, the straps are always twisted, and my daughter hates the massive clip across her chest. I have used the Roundabout 50 in 3 cars including one 2 door with a tiny back seat. It works great every time. Now I am writing this review as I throw the worthless Eddie Bauer in the attic and order another Britax. Don't make the same mistake I did, thinking I wanted 2 different seats. The end result was me throwing more tantrums than my 1 year old when I would try and strap her in.

One more thing, I keep worrying about the reviews of the short strap between her legs, but it doesn't seem to bother my daughter at all.

This seat fits great in my Toyota Echo. My 8 month old fits nicely and it's easy to get him in and out. My husband installed it very quickly.
It's no frills, simple, and safe.
We like it. Great upgrade from the infant carrier.

We already have a Boulevard and decided to buy this as a second seat for my husbands truck. I was a little concerned that he would like the cow print but he was fine with it after seeing it in person. We decided on the Roundabout 50 because it has the same height limits as the Boulevard and Marathon without the 65# weight limit. Since my three older kids never hit 50# before they hit 49". My 15 mo old son falls asleep quickly in this seat and has never had head flopping ( even since birth when he started out in the Britax Companion). I have found that this seat also adjust very easily (our Boulevard is a little more difficult to tighten the harness straps). Our son is still rear facing at 15 mo and we plan to keep him rear facing until he hits 35#. He has very long legs but is still very comfortable rear facing. Over all I love this seat and would highly recommend it to anyone!

We bought the Roundabout 50 "Cowmooflauge" car seat to replace the infant carrier/travel system car seat our daughter was growing out of. I did a ton of research online looking for a safe, (mostly) affordable car seat to fit into our small car. Britax is a brand recognized for quality, so I started there. Babies 'R' Us was having a trade-in event, so if we brought in our old seat, they would give us 20% off of a new one. So looking into the car seats at the high end of our budget was more affordable at the time.

The reasons why we purchased this seat were many: safe, cute (!), very good online reviews, compact, convertible, comfortable-looking/felling, and will last a child 10 lbs. longer than the original Roundabout, etc...

This car seat is everything you could ask for in a compact seat. And best of all, installation is really simple. For me, reading the directions was much more wordy and confusing than I felt they should have been. Of course I recommend reading the instructions, even if you think you can install it without them... but... they can be a little confusing. (Have your local sheriff's station check to see if you've installed it correctly.)There's an anchor at the top, and anchors at the bottom (super easy to install, too), or you can use the seat belt instead of the anchors (if your vehicle is not LATCH equipped). There is even a neat pocket in the back for the slack from the top anchor.

My only complaint (reason for -1 star) is cleaning the cover. It's a tiny bit labor-intensive to remove because you have to unhook and unthread the harness straps and all, but I'm sure this applies to all seats... could be worse. But this cover is NOT machine washable and NOT dryer safe. The only way to wash the cover is with a cold sponge/washcloth and mild soap. The only way to clean the straps is with a warm sponge/washcloth and mild soap. This is EXTREMELY awful when there is any kind of soiling, but especially vomit. Scrub, soak, and repeat two-three more times. It is impossible to go anywhere the next day if your child vomits on the cover and straps because you have to spend all night or the next day cleaning this cover to try and remove the smell of vomit. This is very, very challenging. And then you must re-thread the straps properly and then re-intall the whole seat. The nice thing is though, the directions are attached to the seat so you will always be able to reference it right away if you have any questions.

The seat itself does sit higher than I expected it to in my small car because of the base (which reclines), but not too high. There is also a little belly pad around the lower buckle... no more pinching! And adjusting the tightness of the harness is as simple as lifting a lever right in the front (but away from little hands). One of the nicest things about this seat, too, is that there is no more 'broken-neck' or 'slouchy-head' when my daughter falls asleep in her seat. This car seat is worth your money. It may not have the cup holders or super thick padding, but those are not necessary. It is padded and soft enough. It also feels sturdy and feels built well, not cheap. And if you must switch cars, or seat placement, it's pretty quick to do. My daughter loves her seat, and so do we. A great investment. We highly recommed the Britax Roundabout 50 to you.

I can say that I am glad that I spent the extra money on this car seat. It was easy to install, and fits great in my Ford Focus ZX3. My son loves to ride in mom's car! I really wanted to buy the Marathon for the extended weight and height limits, but my local BRU didn't carry it in this pattern. In comparison, the Roundabout is smaller than the Marathon, which I am glad since I own a small car.

Easy to install. Nice fit for 8 month old. Straps are smooth, no rough edges, easy to buckle. Instructions stay with car seat under padding. Awesome..I'm new mom.

I bought this as a second carseat for dads truck. My primary is a first years true fit. I debated the first time with this carseat but decided to go with the first years over simple features like cup holders seat belt covers extra padding. The first years dosent fit at the right angle in my SUV. I bought this one because I thought it would fit better in my husbands little truck. But I ended up keeping it for me. You have the option to sit it up or recline while the baby is in the seat. Something you think you can live without. You realise you can't once you have a seat that dosen't. Bottom line if I had to do it all over again I would have bought two of this seat. If I buy a carseat for a friend it will be this one. Would recommend to anyone.

We bought this this for 13 month old. The seat fits her well and she will be able to grow into it. After reading many reviews online and in magazines this seat has all the saftey we were looking for as well as the reputation but not the high price. I learned that this seat is made from the same shell as the more expensive Marathon. This is also an exclusive at this retailer! Only downside is don't face your little one forward untill he/she is 25 pounds. The upright nature of the forward facing seat may not be the most comfortable for the little one when they fall asleep!

I haven't had the seat very long, but my daughter seems to love it. It is very soft & appears comfortable. Not a "bells & whistles" car seat (no cup holder or snack tray), very simple but also very safe. I like the fact that you can buy replacement parts for the entire seat and a new cover. The seat was easy to install & doesn't take up quite as much space as the Graco Snug Ride. I would definately recommend this seat. It is worth the money. The reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is it doesn't have a cup holder & it also doesn't come with strap covers for around the neck. If it came with those, it probably would be perfect!
