Product Description

The design of the Moby Wrap uses your entire back, as well as your shoulders, to carry the weight of your baby. Unlike other carriers, which have narrow straps or go across one shoulder, the Moby Wrap is a wide piece of durable fabric that is wrapped over both shoulders. It is amazingly comfortable and easy to wear. There are no buckles, snaps or other fasteners (that may break or bend). It is easy to adjust the fit of your Moby Wrap by varying how tightly you wrap yourself and baby. Moby Wraps are one size which means all caregivers can easily and comfortably share one wrap. Moby Wrap can be used for babies from 8-35 pounds.

Moby Wrap, Inc., headquartered in Chico, CA, was founded by two mothers on a quest for the perfect way to carry Baby. After extensive research on child carriers from around the world, they developed a sling-like fabric cotton wrap designed to distribute the weight of Baby evenly from a parent's shoulders to hips.

Moby Wraps align Baby's center of gravity uniquely close to a parent's body to provide extra comfort and security. These wrap-style fabric child carriers don't have buckles, snaps or other fasteners. It is easy to adjust the fit of a Moby Wrap by varying the tightness of the wrap itself.

Moby Wraps are optimal baby carriers for babies up to 45 pounds. Also, Moby Wraps are high versatile, Baby can be wrapped facing in, out to the world, sideways or on a parent's back. When not being used as a carrier, the Moby can be used as blanket, pillow or anything else a parent can imagine.

My cousin recommended this before I was pregnant. She was using hers with her 6 month son (her second). I bought two before my baby arrived. I have severe musculoskeletal (especially shoulders and back) and joint problems and need something that will not aggravate my problems. I have no complaints in that aspect. I have put my son in it many times while out and about, around the house, and even at the mall for over 2 hours. I first put him in it the day after we got home from the hospital, when he was only 6 pounds. Everywhere we've gone, people have stated how great they think it is and how they wish they'd had one. My reply is that he is as close to being back in my belly as he can get(without the nausea, etc). He loves to be held and cuddled, so this is perfect.
The ends do drag the floor when putting it on, but with a little practice, I've figured out how to get around that. You do have to readjust sometimes, and it takes a little getting used to figuring out how you like it to fit. I did not find it difficult to put on at all; just watch the video for instructions.
One of the best things about it is that you can tuck baby's head into either side, which is great before they develop neck strenth. Baby is very secure and I NEVER feel like he will fall out. Before using it, I was concerned about air flow, but this has not been a problem. You can even easily bottle or breast feed baby while in it.
The only true problem I have is that it is warm to be wrapped in the additional material, which may be a problem when its 100+ degrees again. Otherwise, I have dressed in layers so I can have something lighterwieght on if I use it, and its very cozy in the cool outdoor weather we have now.
I highly recommend you try this. We keep one on hand at all times. I have been grateful to have it on many occasions, especially in places where a stroller won't go and those times when you need one or both hands.

I was really impressed with the reviews and was looking forward to using the sling. I started using it immediately with my 6 week old daughter. She was ok with it but seemed too cramped and screamed to be let free. She did fall asleep in it once but it was a struggle. She just did not like the confinement of the sling. I found the sling to be too heavy and it is too cumbersome with all that material. I had to have my husband help me too many times to get my daughter in it comfortably and I was nervous about the security of the sling. I always had to hold on to it where I did not with my Baby Bjorn. I am back using the Baby Bjorn (that was a gift) and I used it with my first child ten years ago. I guess some things just don't change. The Baby Bjorn is more secure and easy to use and lighter. On the bright side, the Moby Wrap was comfortable on my back.

Comments about Moby Wrap 1012160 Moby Wrap Baby Carrier - Navy:

This totally rocks. My little guy (3 months) loves the Moby wrap and I have more time to walk around the house and do things. It's nice and snug, though if you have a wiggly baby they most likely won't want to be in it long like my little guy. However, it's nice because he goes to sleep while I'm working around the house :) It's easy to use and the fabric is smooth and stretchy.

Comments about Moby Wrap 1012160 Moby Wrap Baby Carrier - Navy:

This has been a life saver! My son is now 4 weeks old, and from day 1 has not liked being put down. He likes to be swaddled and held and this takes care of both, all while allowing me to have my hands! I use it to take him to the store and he sleeps the whole time, while I have my hands for shopping. Its better than bringing the clunky car seat in. I also wear my baby around the house and he sleeps soundly the whole time. I can take my dogs on walks, and do chores- its amazing! and its very easy to use. I watched a video and by my 3rd time I was a pro.

I've had back problems for 7 years now and have a hard time carrying any amount of weight. I used this every chance I got because it evenly distributes the weight of the baby so they feel MUCH lighter! Not to mention they fall asleep very quickly in them, it's better for them physically to be able to sit with their knees level with hips, and doesn't feel in your way like a traditional carrier! Totally worth the money!

Love this product. The wrap arrived and and I immediately knew I would be happy with it. Just feeling the softness and durability of the fabric makes me trust that it will do a good job of helping baby feel snuggled and protected. "Wearing" your baby is such a helpful thing and this wtap allows you to do so.

Comments about Moby Wrap 1012160 Moby Wrap Baby Carrier - Navy:

Actually when I saw it, I thought it could be useful. I didn't try with the baby because it hadn't borned yet. But, is too long and I am petite I think is too much trouble to put it on, plus it looks a little weird to go out with that, and the baby. So that's why I decided to buy something else instead that I can be sure I will use and be comfortable with. You should try it to say. That is my experience.

Comments about Moby Wrap 1012160 Moby Wrap Baby Carrier - Navy:

I love my Moby. I love carrying my baby close to me and knowing that he is safe and secure. When he is asleep he is as happy as could be snuggled into Mommy. However, when he is awake he HATES it! I use the suggested Moby hold and he hates that he has to face in and that his arms are pinned against me. I recently saw a lady at the mall who had designed her own Moby hold with her little girl facing out and her arms free. I am going to attempt that and hopefully the screaming will stop.

After reading mixed reviews about the moby wrap, i decided to give it a try myself. The price is reasonable that I liked. Now I live in South Fl. and let me just say...this is not for 80 and above weather! Its very hot. Both me and baby were sweating and not happy. Its also very long. Takes some practice putting on. I got the hang of it after a while. Now on a positive note. My baby was comfortable in it. Its just not a great carrier for warmer climate.

Perfect for the mom on the go. We have 2 dogs that I love to walk and now I can do it wo the hassle of a stroller. Also my daughters soccer season will be starting soon and it will be perfect to watch the games, going to church (my son stays quiet in this for hours), and great for camping.
