We love these dinosaurs. I have a 3 1/2 year old and a 2 year old. My 2 year old is obsessed with dinosaurs and he loves these.
Things I love:
They are soft so no one gets hurt. Even great for teething babies.
No holes, so we can take them in the tub, mud, etc and I can be sure they get clean.
The dinosaurs are happy. My kids are super sensitive so any mean or angry looking dinosaurs scare them.
The dinosaurs have the names on the bottom so I don't have to look it up (or make something up).
Things I dislike:
The branches of the trees come off. The kids love taking them off so it is a plus to them, but I hate putting them back on.

This is a nice alternative to the scary dinosaurs offered in other sets. The creatures do seem to be friendly and almost smiling.

Would have been a nice product if not so cheaply made. Some of the dinosaurs will not even stand because the bottom/feet were dilapitated and bent.

I just bought this Im hungry set for my 3.5 year old girl who absolutly loves dino's. She has been playing with them for about an hour and she looked up at me and said "These are Awesome Mom" Guess what? "They can even go in the bathtub".

I just bought both the "Animal Planet Baby Dino Playset - I'm Hungry" set and the "Animal Planet Playset - Large Baby Dinosaurs" set (Item 072484, SKU 87A7D66B, UPC 754046193706) at the TRU store as Christmas gifts for my two-and-a-half year old niece and nephew. I have not actually given these to the kiddos yet but I am very excited to do so!

These are soft, flexible, hollow plastic dinosaurs that are not scary. Their smiling faces have a cartoon-like quality that is endearing. Even the T-Rex (in the "I'm Hungry" set) is smiling as he shows his teeth. I imagine kids older than 4 or 5 will want something more realistic-looking, but these are just right for my little "Land Before Time" and "Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs" fans. The dinos are just the right size for toddler hands (the box says for ages 3+).

I think it's great that there are not holes in the bottoms so if these are used as tub toys they will float and water won't get inside. Also, these are soft so if they get used to whack baby brother on the head it won't hurt as much as the other 'hard' plastic dinos I've seen.

It looks to me like the "I'm Hungry" pack has dinos that are small/baby versions of some of the large/adult dinos in the "Large Baby Dinosaurs" set; your child can play Mommy and Baby if you buy both sets.

Dinosaurs appear to have their names imprinted in the plastic on their tummies, which saves Mom and Dad from having to memorize the Encyclopedia of Dinosaurs. From what I can tell (I have not removed items from box and am not a dino expert), the "Animal Planet Baby Dino Playset - I'm Hungry" pack includes 1. ankylosaurus, 2. triceratops, 3. tyrannosaurus, 4. apatosaurus-like dinosaur, 5. dimetrodon, and 6. the tree.

If you want to have larger 'mommy' versions of these little dinos, check out The "Animal Planet Playset - Large Baby Dinosaurs" set. It includes (as best as I can figure): 1. ankylosaurus, 2. triceratops, 3. tyrannosaurus, 4. what looks like a smaller tyrannosaurus, 5. spinosaurus, 6. stegosaurus, 7. unidentified toothed dinosaur similar to t-rex but smaller, 8. apatosaurus-like dinosaur with bony ridges over eyes, 9. pterodactyl, 10. palm tree, 11. pond, and 12. nest with hatching egg.

The only problem I have been able to see is that the tree's green leaves snap off fairly easily (they are made to do so) and toddlers won't be able to put them back on without help. The good news is the leaves are too large to present a choking hazard. Bad news is I bet the green leaves will all be lost or thrown out within a few weeks. Perhaps a parent could add a dab of glue to each branch to help it stay on.

Bought this for our son's 2nd birthday. It is a huge hit! I love that the dinosaurs are soft & there is a tree for imaginative play. This was perfect because even though he really is into dinosaurs, the large 'scary' ones frighten him & these are more 'younger and more friendly looking' dino's . Great toy for the price! Hours of fun! Would recommend this product for the toddlers!
