We LOVE the crib. The color is beautiful and it is sturdy once completely put together. Standard mattresses fit in there like a glove (no gaps). It has multiple height selections but we only used the very top and very bottom one - once she started grabbing onto the rail to stand we figured we'd save ourselves a headache by just dropping it all the way down instead of a little at a time. Either way it was easy to do.

There are some things that could be improved on but that is true of almost anything. There ARE a lot of parts. It is on the wider side and when we moved it had to be broken down to even get it through doorways. It does scratch rather easy and I recommend buying a teething rail once your little starts cutting teeth because mine chewed some of the finish off on the inside part of the crib which later becomes the foot board of the full-sized bed but I plan to wrap ribbon around it to hide it and for decoration once that day comes - no big deal.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is a very nice crib for the price. We purchased it on sale, and put it together in 30 min. Everything went together nicely. Standard mattresses fit with no gaps in the corners. My 2 year old son has "tested" this crib for his baby brother (jumping, shaking the sides, etc.), and it's held up just fine.

I have recently put together my DaVinci crib and so far I am very pleased. It was easy to put together and looks great. What pleases me the most is that the manufacturer has never had a recall, and since I had to return my last crib because it was recalled, this makes me feel comfortable that this crib is safe and sound and will be enjoyed until it is a full size bed.

We bought this product because of the 4 in one capability so he could grow with one bed, and we could save money. Unfortunately, this product already has many problems, and our boy is not here yet. One, the color is different than what was shown its a darker color. Two, after assembly some wood parts are still loose even after snuging up the bolt and one or more bolts won't tighten up. Three, the slats of the crib are not very sound they move and flex with little pressure. Four, the wood damages and scratches easy. I also read that the companies own mattress fits in there cribs, but I can say not in this crib its bigger than the spring mount, but smaller than the whole crib itself: which means there is space between the crib side and mattress even with a bumper.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
