I didn't know about belly casts for my first four munchkins.. so sad because my hubby and I had a blast doing these for our last two..great bonding time, and a fun project! When I hold the casts to me now, I just can't believe how big my belly was..great experience, excellent product.. standing is best if you can manage.. don't lock your knees or you will get woozy.. use a thick coat of vasoline on your skin.. and do it with help.. you should just be standing there.. don't try it alone.. or with a small helper.. lol..

I did this mold last minute, a few days before I delivered and actually while having contractions. It was easy and I enjoyed it, thank god! My fiance, mom and sister helped me. They pre cut all the strips to different sizes, wet them and just layered them on. Even through the long standing and contractions, I think it went well and I'm satisfied with the outcome. I will say after a while if you move too much you can feel the mold start to separate from your skin a bit. I was a little worried it would slip off, but it didn't. Just don't move around too much. I'm so glad I got this done before I delivered!

Me and my best friend got the belly cast one day and decided to go back to my house and make it. The attempt I did with her was terrible. I got tired of standing so I decided to lay down in mid process of it, which totally messed it up because I noticed one of my "girls" was extremely bigger than the other. So we took it off and just threw it away. So the other day I did another one because it was that much extra material to make two out of one box, with my boyfriend. I decided to sit down for the whole process which was much easier for me and it was a great experience for me and him. Only thing I noticed that the 1st attempt wasn't exactly the reason my "girls" looked like they did, it was because one of my "girls" is actually bigger than the other one. Any way it is a great experience for best friends to experience as well as couples because both times of these projects all we did was laugh and have fun.

My husband and I have belly casted for all of my pregnancies and never had any problems before trying Pearhead. Total junk! the entire thing literally fell apart while on me. I e-mailed the company and received no response. Now I will buy Proud Body, which we used in the past!

Ofcourse with this being my first pregnancy I wanted to do it all, and making a belly cast was definatley part of that! I bought this kit and me and my husband had so much fun doing it! Ofcourse its messy, but atleast the company was thoughtful and put a really good sized floor cover in there. It took about 20 mins to finish and i had a ton of roles left over because my stomach even at 35 weeks isnt very big. The instructions got straight to the point and it was super easy to do! Definatley an expirience im glad I got to do with my husband and have for this pregnancy.

I'm 33 weeks pregnant and my sis and I decided to do this today; I loved it!! We didn't expect it to be so easy but it was a breeze. Loved the finish product and we actually want to do another one! The perfect bonding activity for me, my sister, & baby :)

Thanks ladies for your reviews and tips on this product. My husband bought this for my Christmas present and we used it when I was 35 weeks. As others stated, we cut the strips ahead of time (12 inch ones for belly, 6-8 inch ones for the large part of my breasts, and 4 inch strips for more detailed areas) and had everything laid out before starting. We used all 5 rolls. The drop cloth was a life saver. I am not sure if it was me, but after standing so long I started to get lightheaded. Good thing we were close to the end of the 3rd layer.

It was a great date night activity that we will cherish.

My husband purchased this kit for us last minute because I had mentioned wanted to do a belly cast. We did it at 39wk, 4 days and it turned out great. I was hesitant to be bare-breasted at first, as I was afraid of the plaster hurting my already sensitive nipples, but I was sure to coat my belly and breasts with the lubricant in the kit and everything turned out fine.

We cut the strips ahead of time (12 inch ones for belly, 6-8 inch ones for the large part of my breasts, and 4 inch strips for more detailed areas) and had everything laid out before starting. We only used 4 rolls and kept the 5th to do an additional layer/touch ups once the initial one was dry. The drop cloth was a life saver, but we kept to the linoleum floor in our kitchen/dining room just in case. We started with my belly and worked our way up. By the time we were about halfway done with my breasts, the belly area had started to dry and loosen. Once we were finished, I was able to remove the cast about 5 minutes after the last strip was applied to my breasts. We laid it on our table (with a trash bag underneath) and a bucket to support the belly area while drying.

All in all, it turned out great and I would definitely recommend it to a friend!!

I Brought This Product, So That My Guess At My Babyshower Can Sign It. I Thought It Would Be Very Fun &Diffrent. Before I Started I Covered My Belly In Baby Oil. Even Doe It Come With Belly Lubricant I Thought The Baby Oil We Be A Little Better. A Friend Of Mines Did All The Work..Lol She Measure Each Strip And Than Cut It. Dipped Each Strip In Warm Luke Water And Place It On My Belly. She Worked Her Way To The Top Of My Chest. And Started With The Second Coat...etc Although Please Note If You Are Much Larger Than Average Than You Might Want To Look Into Buying Two Casting Kits. Only Because Your Strips Are Goin To Be Much Longer And Consider The Fact That You Have To Do More Than One Coat. 5 Rolls Of Plaster Tape May Not Be Enough ! It Only Took About 30mins To Complete It. &About 15mins To Dry. Once Dry I Removed It From My Belly And I Set It On The Drop Cloth Included In Product. I Did Notice That It Wasn't All That Dry And That The Sides Of Me Belly Were Weak Because It Wasn't Dry. So I Took Newspaper And Balled It Up And Put Inside The Cast To Keep The Shape While It Dryed. The Next Day It Was Completely Dry And I Didn't Choose To Sand It I Loved It The Way It Was. **Very Messy, So Where Clothes You Really Don't Care About. Also When Finish I Got Right Into Shower, The Plaster Was All Over Me And Required Water and Soap To Get Off. ** But The Bottom Line Is I Would Recommend This Product. Turn Out Great &&Great Way To Remember That Big Old Belly :-)

We followed the directions it was very messy, and once the cast started to harden i felt like my breathing was obstructed and keeled over, whilst the color drained from me. My mom pulled the cast off and broke it in a state of panick.
I will never recommend this product.
What seemed to be fun in the beginning ended with a disaster and in the trash can.
