The Safety 1st cabinet lock for handles will help prevent toddlers from opening 2 handled cabinets. No tools are required to install. The press and slide 2 action release is easy for the parent but difficult for little hands. The flexible tabs adjust to fit different size cabinet handles and knobs. It incorporates upgraded materials and styling to better complement newer kitchens and home decor.

This product works great for us b/c either my 2 year old has managed to figure out all the other types of cabinet locks, or others do not fit our cabinets. We use it on our kitchen cabinets, which have skinny handles on them that are too far apart for a sliding lock. Works fabulously for cabinets like that. You have to push the button up to unlocks the tie, and hold it there while you pull the tie out. Great for crawlers too b/c it takes coordination and a level of hand strength.

This thing is frustrating. Do you hold the button on the top, middle or down position while you push through the plastic strips? OOps, if you just turned it backward, you may be doing it wrong. My face turned red as my bp went up while pulling without humor as this could be very simple but it just wasn't for me. Get the good one- safety first secure tech cabinet lock. Same price. Easy and quick to take on and off.

This is very difficult to open and close. I'm not sure how anyone would use it. It also dangles low and presents something that attracts a baby to it.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Works great, just what we needed!
By Emily D.

Now that my son is in his toddler bed, we needed a way to secure the closet doors. This item worked great and was simple. A bit stiff at first and I wasn't sure if I was doing it right, but I got the hang of it!
Not exactly what I was looking for, but a nice product.
from Johnson City, NY
The cabinet I needed to secure was on the smaller side so this particular handle lock did not fit. It was easy to install and use, and did seem like it would keep the kids out of the cabinet.....I would have kept it if it had fit.
works so far
I purchased this to keep the fridge shut as the stick on ones would come lose from the surface as it was using double sided tape. This keeps it closed even with my toddler pulling on it. So far it's holding up with it installed for about 3 days.
Should last longer

About Me Grandparent
We installed this on a cabinet that we did not use very much. Probably opened it a dozen times in the 4 or 5 months we owned it. One of the straps snapped. I like the idea... but the materials are weak.

We bought others that are easier to operate, but my 2.5 year old son was able to break them. This is stronger, but harder for adults to operate.
Slready tore at the base

Tough to open. Already started to tear in one week of a < 2 year old tugging on it.

Keeps little fingers out of where they should. I'm very glad I found this lock!!

We bought this to keep our toddler out of our refrigerator. We have a side-by-side style, and so far, no complaints. It does the job!
