We tried several other brands and found these to be the best. Our little guy doesn't spit up and the flow is just right. The medium flow was too fast for him, so we are using our medela slow-flow nipples with these bottles.

Occasionally the ring leaks and/or the nipple collapses, but it is always because the ring is seated wrong and/or is on too tight. Once it is properly seated and on just right, it works perfectly every time.

these bottles are good. Unfortunetly sometimes they leak. if the cap is too tight the suction is not good and if its too loose i have milk leaking all over the place! My son does like these bottles but i tend to now use the avent bottles much more!

Here are the reasons why the Medela bottles are not really worth your money:

- The lid/cover to the nipple is VERY difficult to put on (it always takes few tries until it 'clicks' on). It causes major frustration especially when you have a baby to care for at the same time.

- Despite daily washing of the nipple part with the bottle brush, it often gets clogged and does not flow well. You find this out when the baby starts fussing after unsuccessful sucking effort and gets irritated.

- The rubber ring to seal the nipple part to the bottle gets worn after few months, and milk starts leaking from the connection part. If you want to use it for formula, as you shake the bottle, the milk spills and splashes all over you and the floor.

There is major design flaw and it does not withstand the repeated daily use for long. Don't waste your money on this product.

I have been using Medela bottles for my son from birth up to now (6 mos). I exclusively pumped breast milk for my son due to breastfeeding problems. I used the Medela pump, which I love and these bottles made it very convenient to store my milk and then give it to him without any steps in between. We did not have any issues with the nipple sticking like some of the other reviewers mentioned. We also tried the breast flow bottles and the tommie tippie bottles and we like the Meleda better than either of those. My son had less trouble using the Meleda nipple than the others and we never had an issue with the slow flow nipple being too fast for him. Now that he eats more, we use the 8 oz bottles and he has transitioned into the medium flow nipples fine.

My 5 month old has increased the amount he eats at one setting. There are not very many choices for bottles when you get over 5 ounces. These work perfectly and my son does not mind drinking from this bottle/nipple if his preferred bottle/nipple is not available.

This set is a great addition to any bottles you may already have. It sure makes pumping and storing easier! We got this once the 5 oz bottles did not hold enough for the baby. His appetite was too great.

These are the bottles my son did best with. They're a great size for storing breast milk, especially since he was eating so much of it, and we're still using it for formula. No complaints whatsoever about them.

I have the medela swing pump, medela 5 and 8oz bottles. Nipple gets squished in LO's mouth I always have to pull bottle/nipple out of mouth to get air to recirculate through the bottle, which only takes 2 sec, but gets annoying every few minutes. I practically have to do this 3-4 times during a feeding. Bc of it, it also leaks.
PROS: not many parts to clean, so easy.

I also have Dr Brown's bottles, Soothie and Avent bottles. I like the Dr Brown's the best (but dislike all the little parts to clean). Avent is good too. The soothie nipple base is so wide that I can't tilt the bottle up enough to feed the end of the bottle because the nipple smushes against her nose, so I always have alittle milk leftover. So, all-in-all, I like Avent the most all around.
