As an avid big tree hunter, I use a variety of tools for measuring heights and girths. To obtain a tree height, one needs a way of measuring angles to the top and bottom of tree. I have a forestry oriented clinometer that does the job, but wanted a backup. My iPhone has a clinometer app, but I needed a light monocular or a small telescope for picking out the highest limbs or twigs.
Enter the GeoVision Pocket Scope! Once I've successfully mounted it to my iPhone, I expect to be doubly accurate in getting tree heights, what with the Pocket Scope's 8x magnification.
