We had the Cloud B Giraffe on our registry, but ended up buying it after our daughter was born. Turns out, she fights sleep with all she's got, and since our purchase of this item, we haven't had to fight back quite so often. Not only does it soothe her, but she's actually bonded with it, snuggling with it (and chewing on its head...) as soon as she can grab at it. We call him Buddy because that is definitely what he's been to her. As a matter of fact, I'm logged in and fixing to purchase a second one so that she's never without her Buddy! As others have stated, the timer can seem a little short when soothing a fussy baby, but if you just press the button of the sound it's already playing, it resets the timer without breaking the sound. And, yes, it does shut off suddenly and that does sometimes wake her, but I have found that if I gradually turn it down while she's asleep, she won't wake when it shuts off. Thanks Cloud B for an awesome product!!!

This was a dream send after 6 weeks of the polyphonic music all the toys/swings/playpens made. And now 3 months later we have 3 Raffies in our house the full size one lives in the crib, a travel one at day care, and a travel one to well travel with. He snuggles with his Raffie and all is well. Great for the car too. I would probably not have bought the full size one if I had known how large this one was and they were a set. We have the twilight turlte too and I am very impressed with the cloud b products. We have not had any issues with the hair falling out as some reviews have stated on other sites.

I thought this giraffe was so cute and while pregnant, I'd fall asleep with it playing sounds on my belly to get my son used to it before he came out. We brought it with us to the hospital and then attached it to the side of his crib (so its not lying in crib for SIDS hazard) for sleeping when we came home.

The big issue is that it turns off after 45 minutes. I wondered why my son's naps are only 30-45 min long and then realized he was waking up when the giraffe stopped. So now we use the radio on a white noise station but I much prefer the white noise on the giraffe. We will still keep using this for travel but since we want to keep our son asleep for longer, we unfortunately have to stop using it at home. Such a bummer because it's so cute!

We bought this for our son just before he was born. It went everywhere with us and he loved it. We attatched it to the co sleeper for awhile. I wish the volume went louder and played longer than 45min def not long enough when you have a restless baby. The big problems came about one month after we started using it the sound would stay on for about a min then shut off sometimes it wouldnt come on at all. We returned that one and bought another one and two weeks later the second one did the same thing with an added scratching noise. Needless to say we will be returning it too and looking for a different sound machine.

This has to be my son's pick for the baby registry; this little guy is adorable and cuddly; the sounds are truly soothing and remind me of his puttering around on the drums as he was growing up. Can't wait for him to open it up for his little girl this Christmas!

My first child was a very fussy baby and my husband and me tried everything under the sun to help calm her, she cried a lot. We finally got the idea to try a sound machine and I have to say I think it helped. I just had my 2nd baby 3 weeks ago and he started to get fussy at times and had my husband buy this giraffe (which I think is better then a regular sound machine.. its cute) and my baby loves it. It calms him and he snuggles towards the sound and falls asleep. I would recommend it to anyone with a baby =]

I love the look of the giraffe and my now 3 mth old falls asleep quickly when I put on the white noise. My only problem with it is that it shuts off after 45 minutes, sometimes waking her. I wish it continually played.

This is by far one of my favorite baby items. Our baby relaxes as soon as we turn it on and quickly falls asleep. Since it is portable we bring it every where.

Well, this was given to us as a gift, and its been a lifesaver....My son has loved it since the beginning! In fact, hes 16 and a half months old now, and its still his go to snuggle buddy for bed time and even in the mornings when I get him from his crib....I will have to get another one or the sheep one, for son#2, due this April....I figure the giraffe was his thing, so maybe a different one would be good for the new baby....I recommend to everyone!

A gift from grandma before LO arrived. Even before birth, when played next to my belly, the playful jungle tune would get jack moving, and the nature sounds would ease him off to sleep. And the same is holding true these first couple weeks at home. So far, this is the only toy that has really captured Jack's attention. And it's a big help getting him back to sleep after nighttime feedings. Love it.
