I bought this myself when I was pregnant, not only did it match my jungle themed nursery but I had heard great things about it. Since day one, we've used it since my son was born, mid night feedings, the giraffe was by our side, always in his crib and always goes on his overnights. I've never had a problem with the music box fitting back in after I've changed the batteries. My son personally enjoys the water fall and the heart beat and now that he's almost 2 he knows how to turn it on himself to soothe himself back to sleep. I would def recommend this product.

I bought this after watching "Happiest Baby on the Block" and learning that babies like white noise. I chose this one over the travel one because it includes the "Heartbeat" setting. Well, my daughter doesn't seem to care what setting it's on, she doesn't particularly care for the sounds. I think I should've gotten something with music instead. The Heartbeat and River sounds are irritating to listen to and she hated them too. We now put it on the DrumBeats setting which she tolerates. It is cute and matches our jungle nursery.

When we first brought the baby home from the hospital she had trouble sleeping. my mom had bought us this as a gift and i had forgotten about it until she asked where it was, so we dug it out and the baby calmed down almost instantly and went to sleep!! We named the giraffe sammy and he goes everywhere with us. we even went and got another one just in case something happened to the original.

This is a great product and at only $2 more than the travel size, definitely worth the purchase. It travels with us, goes to daycare, and helps soothe our son to sleep at night. We still use it at 11 months, and he falls to sleep to the heartbeat sound. It's also well made and has stood up to lots of tugging on the legs and arms since it sits on the outside of his crib or car seat and the batteries are still going even though it's used every night and has been since we brought our son home from the hospital.

My newborn falls asleep to the "sleep" track every night with no fussing...we even bought the smaller sized giraffe for use during naps on the first floor of our house. I recommend this item for any newborn.

We opened the giraffe after the baby shower and he was so soft, we turned him on and placed him on my niece's belly so the baby could hear the giraffe and our new baby started moving. It was so sweet. The giraffe is very soft and the different sounds are wonderful. My niece that is a fist time mother loved it.

This item is super cute, but that's about where my good review ends. Unfortunately, there are two timers on this machine, and the longest goes for 45 minutes. So after 45 minutes it shuts off. What is the point of that? My baby needs white noise all night long to sleep well. It does have other sound settings for play, so I guess it will be good when he gets old enough to hang out in his pack n play by himself and listen to the play sounds. But as a white noise sleep aid, I would recommend something else.

My baby isnt due until nov. but this item is already hooked onto the crib, and she is soft and goes great with my safari theme.

she is soft, and the volume settings are great. loud and quiet as i wanted.

the only thing i dont like is the heartbeat sound on this. its really slow and kinda creepy. :) but i love the other three sounds it has.

Love the giraffe! Nice and soft! The giraffe is a little bigger than my newborn...lol. The music is good...nothing special.
