Product Description

Presenting the LEGO Architecture interpretation of one of the most iconic landmarks ever constructed - The Eiffel Tower! Designed and built by French entrepreneur, Gustave Eiffel, the original 324-meter-tall masterpiece of wrought iron engineering formed the grand entrance to the 1889 World's Fair, held in Paris to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution. During construction, the 18,038 wrought iron elements making up the tower's lattice structure were bolted together at Eiffels factory on the outskirts of Paris, before being transported to the site, hoisted into place by steam-powered cranes operating from the elevator shafts, and assembled using no less than 2.5 million individual rivets. The resulting structure was extremely rigid and over the years has withstood storms, floods and everything else mother nature has thrown at it. Today, The Eiffel Tower is one of the world's most popular landmarks, attracting millions of curious visitors from around the world each yar. With this exceptional model, you can now build your very own 321-piece Eiffel Tower in LEGO brick form and display it in your home, office or wherever you like!

I recently purchased and built The Eiffel Tower product. I can say I am extremely pleased with the product. Fun to build and larger than the other landmark series products and I would recommend it to anyone who purchases products fromm this range. A fantastic addition that means I have purchased all the landmark series products that are available. Cant wait for the next landmark whatever it is, but Ido hope they release one soon as I love them.

This was definitely not my favorite build. I was not pleased with the fact that the structure was not solid, but rather is set on rotating corners, making it hard to align so it's not leaning or turned/twisted. I also think there could have been a better option for the arches than the strange rubber pieces that were included. As I sit and look at the finished product, it does not please me as my other builds do; it looks crooked and just lacks the level of detail that I've come to expect from Lego. That being said, I'm proud to own any item from the architecture collection and will continue to invest in them. I loved the option for the name plates in English and French and chose to use both of them on opposing sides.

Comments about LEGO Architecture The Eiffel Tower (21019):

We are expert Lego builders and the Eifel Tower was a great build. Easy to follow instructions and 3 hour build. I would recommend a little patience because of the bricks are the smaller ones compared to other Lego sets.

Comments about LEGO Architecture The Eiffel Tower (21019):

Bought 2 for my grandchildren. One loves Paris and all the buildings and the other made it as an anniversary gift to his parents. They got engaged at the top. It is tricky to build in places,so you must pay close attention to the detailed directions. It is a great piece that is well put together and detailed. We enjoyed building it together. Both children were happy with their result!

        Impressive...

        By Stig1969

Comments about LEGO Architecture The Eiffel Tower (21019):

Was given this as an Xmas gift, and thought OK... Built it that evening and glad I did! My introduction to the Architecture range has been sparked, and I will be buying more when funds allow. Some clever engineering and the slightly twisted use of everyday elements has produced a model well worthy of display. I particularly liked the idea of the printed dual language title strips (The Eiffel Tower/La Tour Eiffel) which I arranged on either side of the base.
