Our toddler loves playing with our flashlights at home, but they are so bright that we worried they might hurt his eyes if he stared into the light. This firefly flashlight was a perfect answer! It is very realistically shaped so that our son knew what it was from the first moment. The light is not too bright, so we are comfortable with his playing with it alone. The ON button is easy to push, and the plastic body is very durable and sturdy.

Our only negative comment is that we feel the product is a little pricey. This was a birthday present; otherwise, we would not have paid full price for the flashlight.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Hard to go wrong with Melissa & Doug stuff and this is no exception. Our 2 yr old son became obsessed with our household flashlights so we got this one for him. I think he still prefers the "real" ones, but this is so cute I'm still glad we got it. Good price, sturdy, not too bright.

Very easy to use, non-breakable lol, my three year old sometimes rough with it, fallen many times and still working great. My daughter has it for a year now and it still working. Have not even replaced batteries yet. Great flashlight!
