The Peg Perego Primo Viaggio Car Seat Base latch ready base is the ultimate in both safety and comfort. The latch ready base offers a state of the art latching mechanism.This mechanism allows for a simple, yet safe installation or removal of the car seat from the car. The Primo Viaggio car seat base is fully adjustable and has a built in leveler to insure that the seat is in the proper installation angle. New rubber gromets insure a slip proof fit on fabric, leather or vinyl seats .Rubber lined seat belt guides also add to a secure attachment. A carry handle makes transport of the base easy.

I love the latch system that Peg Perego uses. I think the car seat and base are so much more secure than installing with the car's seatbelt. I love this system, and so does my little one, and that is really all that matters to me! I know this brand is a little on the pricey side, but it is well worth the extra money. I bought this system (car seat with base, additional base, and matching pliko p3 compact stroller in Iris) after being very disappointed with a Baby Trend system I registered for, received and ultimately returned to find something better. Peg Perego is the best!

This car seat base was on my daughters baby registry. I purchased one for my car. I am the Grammy. Very sturdy. When car seat locks in it makes a very audible click so you know the seat is locked in. Also has a large level indicator to let you know it is in level.
