The foam is CertiPUR-US certified and has been tested for indoor air emissions, durability and specific substances. The latex responds to your child’s movements to provide comfort throughout the night while offering pressure-point relief and support. Woven jacquard fabric ensures that bacteria and allergens will not cling to the mattress, and it resists wet substances to stay clean. The mattress itself is made from a lightweight yet firm natural soybean foam core with protective wrap for your infant’s comfort and security.     I would not recommend this product. As a matter of fact, I had to return it. Upon the mattress' arrival, we aired it out for 4 days as it had a very bad odor. Thereafter, we used it for 3 days, only to have our son scream throughout each and every night. Unfortunately we didn't figure it out on time that the smell - which still existed when we started using the mattress - made our son sick to the extent that he would not stop crying. After three repeated cry-full nights, we ended up stripping the mattress in the middle of the night, putting the old one back and everyone was happy. I'm not sure if this one was a defective product or that's just how all of them are, but the smell was awful. It was giving me a headache, let alone my child. And, to add more to the joy, even though it says on the website that you can return the item to any Babies-R-Us store, they fail to tell you about a little detail, such as that you will not get your original form of payment back, but rather a store merchandise return card, which I think is unfair. Hope this helps you make a decision.

    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

      We got this for my daughter's new toddler bed. We are using the toddler side and she seems to like it. It is softer and more comfortable than the hard spring mattress we had for her. The crib sheet we put on did pull the mattress edges up since it is very tight and the mattress is very lightweight, so I am still debating if I will buy the same for our baby that is on the way. However for our 22 month old it seems safe and great.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
