During the classic Hasbro Battleship Game, you must use strategic combat to defeat the enemy fleet. Place your ships in the safest arrangement, so your opponent won’t be able to take down your fleet. Search out the enemy to attack with strategic missile assaults that will sink their ships. With the two plastic fold-and-store game trays, you can strategically place your 10 plastic ships to protect them from harm, while red pegs are placed at the points of successful attacks. White pegs are included to locate the areas you have missed hitting a ship, so you can easily track where you want to make your next move. Keep track of each and every hit or miss, so you can keep your game afloat and beat your opponent.

Two plastic game trays
Two plastic fold-and-store game trays are included in this game. Here, you can keep track of hits and misses and strategically place all of your ships where you think your opponent won’t aim.
10 plastic ships
Included in the game are 10 plastic ships. Strategically place these ships where you think your opponent might not guess, and aim to hit all of their fleet.
84 red pegs
84 red pegs are included in the game so you can keep track of your progress. Place pegs in the locations where you hit your opponent, and place pegs at locations where your ships have been hit.
168 white pegs
Included in the game are 168 white pegs where you can keep track of all the places you have missed your opponent's ships. With these pegs, you will know not to guess at that location again.

Battleship! You're the commander of your fleet, so prepare your strategy and lead your troops to victory! Call out your coordinates and mark your hits and misses. "D-6! "It's a hit! Try to destroy your opponent's fleet before they destroy yours-then remove the mission sheet from the command unit to reveal the battlefield. The new double-sided battle grid brings even more excitement to BATTLESHIP!

                  I searched and searched for this item for my son for Christmas. Other stores only offered the newer version and the electronic version, which is not what my son wanted. I was so happy to find the classic game online! I played this game with my brother growing up and loved it. I am so happy that I can now share it with my own child. Unlike the newer versions, the classic game is portable...no need for batteries...players can sit across from each other or across the room. This will be a favorite game to take on our camping and road trips next summer.

                    This is the classic original version with 2 game boards...so you can sit with it on your lap and apart from your opponet. I've loved this game since childhood in the '70s and my 6 year old son now does too !
