I had a very different glider on my registry for forever and insisted I would buy the way more expensive one after the shower as a gift to myself. However, when it came time, I decided to go back to the store and look through them one more time. This glider does not have the "softest" padding or the "best" features, but I believe it still serves its purpose well. The directions only have pictures and it did take me a little while to figure them out, but once I did, I was able to build it myself (9 months prego) when I couldn't wait for my husband to get home.

It does not recline, but it does lock in multiple positions. The glider does not have a nursing pedestal, so I just bought a nursing stool because I heard they are a must have. I love the material and it wipes clean very well. I can't say how it will stand the test of time, but I can say that the BRU furniture protection plan seems to be pretty good and is very inexpensive. The woman who sold me the chair in the store said it will even cover the pad if it gets the little bum indent.

The first night I used it I fell asleep in the chair. It is not the most well padded one we tested, but I am very happy with it for the price and it is a little less bulky than some of the others which is also nice. I have not noticed any noises or unsteadiness.

This chair was great for the first 6 months and then it started to make horrible noises. It gets slack in it and moves 4 to 6 inches left to right. Its so loud that the baby is concerned about the noise and searches to see where it is coming from instead of trying to go to sleep. This chair is made poorly and I would NOT recommend this chair to anybody. Its not even worth it if somebody gives it to you for free. Its not even good firewood! DON'T BUY!!!!

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    We bought this glider about a year ago to rock our baby to sleep and for the past 4 months it does nothing but creak and squeek. So annoying!!! All I want to do is put my baby to sleep but if I rock it makes a horrible creak or squeek or both...extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with our purchase. Do Not Buy!

    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

      The chair is good and functioning fine with smooth glide. But i feel it is delicate as far as some part's design is concerned. I got the package with one of the main pieces that goes into base broken. But the store replaced it.

      I agree with most of the reviews about assembly. The instructions are not at all user friendly and it took good 2 hours of time for me to fix this.

        The product is good and working fine. Comfort is good. But it seems to be delicate as far as few part's design is concerned and i got one of the main pieces which go into base broken from the package. But the store replaced it.

        I agree with the other reviews and personally feel the assembling instructions are not at all user friendly. I would say assembly is a heck though not impossible.

                  I know some people have posted that this chair is difficult to assemble, look at the pictures and don't assume what the next step is going to be. It is very comfortable and glides smoothly. Only complaint is that the screws have a little paint on the ends and it makes it difficult to lock them into place with just the allan wrench. A power drill with allan wrench adapter would be very helpful.

                  Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

                    The product worked fine for about a year, then started clicking and sticking as it rocked. Soon the springs underneath the cushion started breaking. We got two years out of it, which I suppose is okay. It isn't made to last.

                    When I first got this glider, I loved it, but as soon as my daughter was born and I started using it on a regular basis, I slowly grew to hate it. I can sit in it just fine, but as soon as I added the boppy pillow to my lap, I felt squished. Then add a growing infant and it got worse as the days went on. I regret not splurging for a reclining glider. I nursed exclusively so I spent a lot of time in this chair and fell asleep often in the middle of the night. I woke up with a stiff neck every time because I couldn't recline. After using it for about a year, the locking mechanism broke so all I couldn't even glide. Now I use it to sit in to read books at bedtime and dream of the day when I'm expecting my second child and you better believe I'm going to invest in a better quality glider for baby number two! Very disappointed!

                    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

                    Returned first glider for this one. It is more comfortable than first one, yet not worth [$]. It took 3 HOURS to assemble, the instructions do not have words, only pictures which leaves a lot to guess work. Final product looks nice.
