I had a hard time getting plain old blankets to stay on and keep me covered. This works wonderfully, stays put and allows me to watch my son while he's nursing. It's also great for when I'm out in public and my son falls asleep in my arms. I can cover him up to keep the light out of his eyes and keep people from touching him and waking him up.

I'm a first-time mom of a daughter who refused to bottle feed for the entire 22months that I breastfed her, so I've had ample use of nursing covers! I'm petite but she moved around A LOT (switching sides often, kickin, wigglin...) so maintaining coverage was much needed. I bought because of the cute pattern and the cover was sufficient. Later I found another brand that had a better shape, longer and covered so much better, so I stopped using this one completely. My baby sweats easily too, and often I'd have to tug and aerate the cover to bring in a breeze (or just keep the top of her head uncovered). The other brand is a lighter material, and having more "space" inside meant I didn't need to fan it out as much. Adjusting the neck strap took a bit more effort at times, its thin so it can get twisted or stuck, and I'd really have to adjust the boning at the neckline to lay just right so I can view her looking down. Overall can do the job, but there is a better brand out there!...

Comments about Bebe au Lait Nursing Cover - Papillon:

This is a great cover for a breastfeeding mom on the go. Stylish and functional, it served every purpose it's designed to do. It is a great size for full coverage and the beautiful pattern makes you feel fashionable while nursing your baby in public. The boning structure at the top of the cover, near the adjustable strap, was one of my favorite features as it allowed me to see my baby while feeding since it propped the cover up a bit. I used this cover with my baby and just recently gifted it to a family member.

Comments about Bebe au Lait Nursing Cover - Papillon:

I wish this worked better for me. My baby gets too hot under this and does not like it in her face or pressing against her head. Plus it's dark under there and she's not getting much oxygen so she gets sleepy and nods off instead of nurses.

If only the fabric were more lightweight (even mesh or cheesecloth would work) for summer nursing and claustrophobic babies. Also a lighter color would block less light so baby can see.

That said, it's a handy thing. The terry corners are great for drips. Would love a design that drapes over my shoulder and/or with an elastic corner for my elbow (for modesty on the side of the torso/breast). I've successfully nursed her in public using other things, e.g. baby wearing a large brimmed sunhat. Also I've used an elastic edged stroller mosquito net which solved all problems I'd had with the apron. The nursing apron is one more thing to remember and carry, too.

I tried using this nursing cover a few times, but didn't like it at all and stopped using it.

There's nothing really wrong with it - I am sure some women love it and use it effectively. But I found that it was difficult to use with a squirming baby.

Instead, I use an Aden + Anais swaddle blanket to cover up when I breastfeed in public.

I felt like this was a huge waste of money.

Comments about Bebe au Lait Nursing Cover - Papillon:

This cover is wonderful! It is the perfect size to keep baby and me covered. I have even nursed confidently walking (when shopping can't wait). The pockets on the inside are great for stowing nursing pads, burp cloths, and can even double as a burp cloth/rag when in a pinch. The material is heavy, and baby can get a little warm, but this was a perk for winter. The boning in the neck is perfect for keeping an eye on your little.

A little pricey, but worth it if you plan to exclusively nurse and want to be able to do so in public! It's nice that burp cloth material is built into the corner and there are also pockets to tuck in your breast pads while feeding. The boning in the neck line is great to be able to look in on baby while feeding.

I tried it on to see how it would work and I love the fact that it provides a lot of coverage. It is pretty, easy to put on, fits nicely in the diaper bag and provides a lot of coverage. Love it and would definitely recommend!

This cover is so pretty! It does its job for the most part. I only wish the neck stayed open like it should so I can see my baby while nursing. I find myself having to hold it open, while trying to keep myself covered, while also trying to adjust a screaming infant. I also find it to be a little hot once it is on.
