The BabyBjorn Baby Carrier Active is ideal for the active, on-the-go parent. The BabyBjorn features adjustable lumbar support, offering comfortable stability for the lower back when holding your child for extended periods of time. The back support and wide shoulder straps distribute your baby's weight evenly over your back and shoulders, providing carrying comfort and relieving pressure. The carrier offers proper support for your child's head, back and hips from birth, and as your child grows and is able to hold up his or her own head, the adjustable head support can be folded down so he or she can face front to have a look around. The design allows you to carry your child safely and close to you, and all adjustments are made from the front. It is easy to put on and take off without assistance and can be opened entirely to lift out your sleeping child without waking him or her. For smaller babies, the leg straps can be buttoned for added safety. The fabrics closest to your child have been tested and guaranteed harmless and allergen-free to your baby's sensitive skin. The cotton and polyester construction offers durability and comfortable wear and is machine washable for easy cleaning.

The BabyBjorn Baby Carrier Active is designed for you to carry your child more comfortably for longer periods of time. The ergonomically designed padded shoulder straps work together with the built-in lumbar support to direct the baby's weight away from your shoulders, reducing strain and providing comfortable support for your back and to distribute weight evenly. It can accommodate babies from 8 to 26 lbs and is machine-washable.

Easy adjustments are all made from the front, allowing you to put baby in the carrier and adjust the fit and headrest. The front also opens completely so you can remove a sleeping baby without waking him/her. Use the scale on the label to adjust the sliding buckle to your baby's height.     LoVe LoVe LoVe this carrier. Got it for $5 at a garage sale but I would've paid full price if I knew how awesome it was. My son was born late May so we got to use it almost everyday. Everyday except the really hot Ohio summer days. Like the review below, it can get hot for baby. Would've been nice if it was breathable for this price... but I can't complain! My SON LOVES it. At almost 5 months of age he doesn't want to get out of it!! Get it, you won't be disappointed. Oh I got the cheap one from [...] for my shower. Used that at first until I found this one. That one was HORRIBLE!! Bad support, my back hurt after 2 minutes. Cheap clip broke too. [...] Honestly get this one!!

    As first time parents, we bought this carrier because of all the good reviews and just word of mouth from friends. Sadly we are quite disappointed with it just in the fact that it didn't fit either mom or dad. We are relatively tall people but not big around and there is no way this carrier would work for us. The straps just can't be lengthen long enough for the baby to acually rest comfortably on our chests as well as have the lumbar support in the right place on our backs. The carrier is nice and lightweight and seems like the material would be breathable but just won't work for us.

      I purchased this when my little chunkster was 2 weeks old, he is now 8 months and I have used the baby bjorn for football games, disneyworld vacation, the beach, etc.. Due to reaccuring back pains from a car accident years ago I often couldn't hold my son for long periods fo time, but now I am able to hold him for longer periods of time as well as hold him close.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

              This is an awesome carrier!! Very easy to use and very easy on my back! It's all black so dad also likes to use it. I do wish it had a greater weight capacity, so that I will be able to use it longer. My son now weighs 17 pounds at 3 months!

                i JUST BOUGHT THIS AND TRIED IT ON FITS GREAT!(EVEN WITH MY BABY BUMP) THERE IS ALOT OF EXTRA STRAPS BEING I AM VERY SLENDER WHICH IS GOOD FOR IF I CAN GET PAPA BEAR TO WEAR THIS WITH BABY. i CAN NOT WAIT FOR THIS LAST MONTH TO GO BY SO I CAN PUT BABY IN IT! I'T COULD HAVE BEEN JUST MYSELF BUT I THOUGHT THE DIRECTIONS OF SETTING IT UP WERE NOT THAT GREAT ESPECIALLY FOR A FIRST TIME MOM WITH ONE OF THESE, BUT OTHER THEN THAT IT IS EASY TO PUT TOGETHER ONCE YOU FIGURE IT OUT IF YOU EVEN HAVE ANY TROUBLES WITH THAT .

                  I loved the back support and the fact that both my husband and i could use it with no issues with re-sizing, the only thing that bothered me was the fact that when I put it on I had sooo much of the straps hanging on the sides. It made me hate it by the end of the day. I guess I wouldn'r recomend it for petiete woman, I am 5'7" 130lbs and still had a lot of straps left over

                  The BabyBjorn Baby Carrier - Active Black is a good product. It is easy to put baby inside and doesn't require much initial set-up. My baby is 7 weeks old and likes it very much. She seems comfortable and often falls asleep within minutes of me putting it on. Also, it's entirely black so both moms and dads can wear it happily. The only downsides are the directions on how to put it together were a little confusing and ended up being much more difficult than the actual assembly. Also, my baby was born two weeks early and is only 8 lbs now (the minimum weight requirement for the carrier), but my back hurts if I wear her for more than an hour at a time. This is not the carrier to get if you plan to wear your baby for long stretches unless you have very strong back muscles!!! This carrier suits my needs, which are mainly to wear baby as I do chores around the house. I would not take a long walk outside however: I put my baby in her stroller instead.

                  Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

                      After you get over the initial confusion on how
                      To put it together it's fairly simple. My only concern is that for the price it should be made of more breathable material. I know there is the synergy carrier which is close to 200$ but I was already skeptical paying what I paid already. One more thing was the long strap I'm petite and the straps were just hanging looked weird.
