This is the greatest toy I have bought! It works great. We put it together, put a towel under it and my 3 year old granddaughter played with it inside...of course it will be moved outside when it is warm enough. It is well constructed. She loves to play in the real sink and this gives her the same feel. We like it so much we have purchased 3.... one for her house, one for my house and she has one for her other Nana's house.

My toddler loves this product. I am happy with the creative idea and overall design of the product, but there are a few obvious things that should be different, especially with a product that cost over $60 with shipping. I was not able to find it in any local stores, so that was my only option. The motor is much too weak and the battery life is ridiculous. My son has a battery-operated vehicle that cost the same amount and has a powerful motor with a rechargeable battery. I would pay $100 for this product if it had a powerful motor that lasted with a strong rechargeable battery. That make an enormous difference with this product. I'm looking at spending $30 on a charger and rechargeable batteries, or paying for the product twice over by the end of summer buying disposable batteries. That does not make me happy, as my son plays with this an hour a day and the batteries are dead EVERY day! I have to empty the water and tip it upside down to change the batteries. Even with brand new top quality Energizer batteries, the motor gets weaker every day. I keep the product very clean and tidy with clean water toys, but it needs a new motor already:-( Sorry to sound harsh, but what panel of idiots tested this product? Great idea, but needs A LOT of work. I have never had such a difficult time with assembly either. The housing around the motor has the smallest screws and the deepest holes. It took forever to get that together.

Comments about Step2 Fun Flow Play Sink:

There's so much I can say about the play sink. I got the play sink for my son he's only 22 months. When I stopped at toys r us I was looking for a toy that had to be water proof. At home my son loves to play with the dog's always turning on the water for the dogs so when I saw the play sink my son and I were in love with the play sink. My favorite thing about the play sink is that water comes out of the sink. Every one in my family asked were I got the sink and I know after I told them two of my brothers went to buy the play sink for there kids. The only thing that my family and I didn't like was the price of the sink it was really close to 50 dollars. I can say the best water toys my son has hands down. Thank you toys r us

Comments about Step2 Fun Flow Play Sink:

I have two boys (4 and 1 years old) and they both absolutely love this thing!

The only issue I have with it is that the red colored plastic for the faucet and the button (also for the faucet) have faded. The rest of the colors are still holding strong! I think red is weird when it comes to dyes, though, but still - a girl's gotta have her standards!

The water does not come out fast or in large amounts, so don't think it's like a real sink - it's not. There is a lot of pumping the button with a small amount of rewards - but hey, the kids do it, not you!

Comments about Step2 Fun Flow Play Sink:

This sink is a lot of fun for a day or two until the faucet breaks. We had one replacement pump sent and that one broke after a few times of use as well. It is a shame because our girls had a lot of fun with this sink for the short period that the faucet worked. Step2 was unwilling to send another replacement part unless we paid for the part plus s&h. Do not waste your money!

Comments about Step2 Fun Flow Play Sink:

My son had a battery operated sink which he absolutely loved and played with for hours. It eventually wore out. When my daughter was born, I wanted to buy the same sink. I bought one, but did not realize the pump is now manual. It is ridiculously difficult to pump and requires the strength and leverage of an adult. I am extremely disappointed that I can no longer purchase the battery operated sink. For this manual option, I might as well buy a cheap plastic container and fill it with water and it would be just as good. I hope Step 2 reads these comments so they can realize that they need to bring back the older model.

Comments about Step2 Fun Flow Play Sink:

Bought this for my 1 yr old not realizing it was a "manual" pump faucet. My sister had one that was battery operated. Very disappointed they eliminated the battery option. Manual pumping flow is not good at all, more like a large drip for every press, which isn't very easy. My now 2 yr old still can't operate the pump action and my 4 yr old even has difficulty with it. You have to pump it fast and continuous for the best but still NOT good at all flow. Too much work for little ones. All they do is playing the puddle which becomes boring to them very quickly. My sister still has hers and they can spend hours at it with the battery water flowing.

My daughter received this as a gift because she loves outdoors, water and anything she can make a mess with! LOL! She was excited about playing with it and filling it with water but, the pump just has never worked right. There is one of these at daycare and they had the same issues.I read other reviews of the same issue and replacement parts beings sent and I have not contacted Step 2 for ours yet so, I am looking forward to whether or not I will get a replacement with ease. It is made sturdy for the sink part but, the faucet just is a pain and was difficult for my daughter to press when it WAS working. Now it is just a piece that she gets frustrated at and cries for us to fix and we can't. I would not recommend this item to others if they are wanting a working sink and would recommend a simple water table instead.

The sink is great size and the the idea is fantastic. I ordered mine thinking it was the battery operated model and was so disappointed to find out it was a manual pump. The pump is a joke. If you want just a sink, this is fantastic. If you want a faucet that flows skip this and look somewhere else.

Comments about Step2 Fun Flow Play Sink:

I wanted to write this review because of so many of the negative comments. First, I did not expect to receive this particular toy but due to a misunderstanding with the grandparents, my twin toddlers received this for their 2nd birthday. The twins LOVE playing with water and this is like a giant birdbath for them. They used to almost fit inside it, and would try to crawl in, but now they content themselves with splashing themselves and others with it and washing and dunking their toys inside. This tub is very sturdy and well built (even if I put it together myself), especially in comparison to the other water table they received from an alternate manufacturer. The Other table's legs are wobbly and the tower snapped off as soon as a child pushed on it. This sink, while having less bells and whistles, really feels like it's going to live forever. That said, the pump/faucet on this is a bit of a pain. It takes some strength to push down and so my girls beg a handy adult to stand by and pump it for them continuously. Not my favorite thing to do, but the pump is still working just fine and this is the second season of use. So, if you realize that this is, essentially, a big tub with a hand pump attached then you understand what you're getting. An electric pump would be nice, but since this would add a lot of safety hazards I can see why they did not go with that sort of design.
