My daughter saw this in the catalog last year and asked for one over and over again over the winter. I finally decided to buy one. After checking them out online I headed to TRU to purchase.

When I got home, I was confused that it didn't call for any batteries since the one online had. I looked online again and realized there are two of them. One with batteries and one without.

I now see the battery one from last year was obviously a disaster and so now it comes with just the ability to hand pump the water. Not nearly as cute or fun as the one that had running water. And it takes some work to get a so-so stream of water coming out.

My daughter is happy to have it, but I feel disappointed that it isn't what I was expecting. So I gave it three stars. It is kind of average as it is now.

Comments about Step2 Fun Flow Play Sink:

My son had a battery operated sink which he absolutely loved and played with for hours. It eventually wore out. When my daughter was born, I wanted to buy the same sink. I bought one, but did not realize the pump is now manual. It is ridiculously difficult to pump and requires the strength and leverage of an adult. I am extremely disappointed that I can no longer purchase the battery operated sink. For this manual option, I might as well buy a cheap plastic container and fill it with water and it would be just as good. I hope Step 2 reads these comments so they can realize that they need to bring back the older model.

Comments about Step2 Fun Flow Play Sink:

Bought this for my 1 yr old not realizing it was a "manual" pump faucet. My sister had one that was battery operated. Very disappointed they eliminated the battery option. Manual pumping flow is not good at all, more like a large drip for every press, which isn't very easy. My now 2 yr old still can't operate the pump action and my 4 yr old even has difficulty with it. You have to pump it fast and continuous for the best but still NOT good at all flow. Too much work for little ones. All they do is playing the puddle which becomes boring to them very quickly. My sister still has hers and they can spend hours at it with the battery water flowing.

Comments about Step2 Fun Flow Play Sink:

Very frustrating during assembly, "pre-drilled" holes were not actual holes, pump assembly is a pain to assembly and line up right. Having said the cons my son really likes it, calls it a bathtub, only problem he has is making the water flow from the faucet, he has occupational disabilities and the pump is VERY hard for even me to make water come out of. The water is less of a "flow" and more of a heavy trickle. The table itself is nice and sturdy but I could have got one cheaper, I bought this for the faucet feature which did not meet my expectations.

Comments about Step2 Fun Flow Play Sink:

My 3 year old loves it, and so does my one year old! I managed to assemble it, with the three year old "helping" mind you, in about 15 minutes. I just used a screwdriver and had no trouble with the fact that some holes aren't drilled. Trust me, I am not super strong, just average strength. We have this set up so that while Mommy is working in the kitchen, the 3 year old can work at his sink as well. I wish that there was some sort of way to make it taller- but I knew that it would be a little short before purchasing. All in all, very pleased with this item.

Great fun for young kids-easy to use but fawcet-pump stopped working the first day-we managed to fix it and it lasted 2 weeks and then the pump failed completely. Other than that they have still been using it and love it!

Comments about Step2 Fun Flow Play Sink:

I bought this water table today after walking around the store with a cheaper version for about 20 minutes (a 30% cheaper version mind you). I was feeling good so I went with this one just for the heck of it. Now here it is 12:00 AM and I'm trying to assemble this thing! My issue is not with the quality because it seems like a solid toy with thick heavy plastic…my issues are with the instructions and assembly. First of all, the instructions say tools required a screw driver or electric drill (OPTIONAL). I say ok great since I don't have an electric drill…I start assembling. The first 3 steps (assembling the pump) they say to use a different screw then what is required. The screws that are required are attached to the piece you are assembling in a small Ziploc bag and not the size they say on the instructions. Only took me 10 minutes to realize that. It was next to impossible to get the small screws down a long and narrow tunnel into a hole but I managed. Now step 6 makes no sense in the flow of the instructions so I was left wondering where does this piece go…does it go on the pump? How did we get from the pump to this piece? I looked at the picture on the box and figured out what the heck it was that I just assembled and it was simply an accessory that clips on to the edge of the basin. Anyway, now steps 8 - 9 you apparently have to secure the legs to the table and secure the pump. Well, back to my first note on the instructions "Electric Drill Optional"...well this is where it is not an OPTION you must have one! The wholes are not predrilled and the manufacturer forgot to include superwoman strength in the box to manually drive through that quality plastic basin I talked about earlier. So now I must go and purchase or borrow a drill to put this overly expensive toy together...I would return it but I feel I'm already invested in the toy and pieces just never seem to fit in the box they came in for an easy return. Shame on you Step 2! For the price that this toy costs you can hire some workers to predrill the holes and someone to write the instructions better!

My 13 mo. old loves this table. Easy to put together and sturdy once assembled. Faucet is hard for her to work but she will learn as she gets older and stronger. I did not screw in the legs so that I can remove them when needed to be stored, so that it will take up less space.

Comments about Step2 Fun Flow Play Sink:

We bought this for our 20 month old child and although the packaging says it's for a two year old, I don't think she'll be able to operate it in four months. The sink has a pump design which is very hard for a small child to push down in order to fill up the tank, and then the small amount of water that comes out of the faucet makes it hardly worth the effort. All in all, I would have opted for a simple water table for a fraction of the price, since that's all this will end up being. We also have a small "baby" pool set up that cost SIX DOLLARS and it is preferred over this product. This is not 'wicked' fun at all. Don't waste your money.

I got this when my son was 2 (in 2009), and he loved playing with it for a full year. Then the battery operated pump broke. The pump is pretty lethargic now which depresses him. I've seen that now it no longer comes with the same pump. I was going to buy a new one so he could play with it for another year, but I'm not so sure he'd enjoy the new manual pump as well as the old.
