            This is a great little book. Each thick page has a song with notes which helps you play along easily. You can also play your own stuff and your child can learn to be creative (think outside the book! ;o)
            We've had this book for about six months now and it's been working fine the entire time - no problem with batteries. It is pretty durable too. My 11 month old has slammed it, dropped it, drooled on it and it still looks brand new!

            Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

            My daughter loooved this book. Unfortunately, within a month it required a change of batteries. It has those annoying button batteries that are hard to find. When I went to replace the batteries, I found one of the 3 spots was really too small for the battery (yes, I used the right ones). I had to use a hammer to jam it in there. Of course within a matter of weeks it wasn't working again I'm guessing because the battery can't make proper connection. I tried changing them again and it worked for a few mins and then stopped again. So, bottom line I now have a sad little girl with a broken Dora book.

            Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
