I was given this item as a gift after trying to swaddle my babe in a blanket and then the velco cross body wraps. This was SO much better than any other swaddle type product.

I didn't feel there was any issue with the head opening being too big so that her hands could get out; she is a magician at getting them out of all other swaddle products so this is saying A LOT. And there wasn't a problem with ventilation since the product is breatheable. She will wake up sweaty in the sleeping blankets we have but never did when she fit in the pod.

I just wish it came in bigger sizes! She slept so much better in it!

Words cannot describe how much of a lifesaver this product was. I was a first time mom, age 34. I didn't know about swaddles really and read a TON of reviews trying to pick one. I received this one for a shower gift and it wasn't on my registery. I was going to return it because I had other swaddles, but Im glad that I didn't!!! It is different than other swaddles because its really make for newborns. This product was PERFECT until she was about 1 month to 1 1/2 months. Here's the reasons I loved it. 1) It wasn't too much fabric for a newborn. 2) SIMPLE to use. When you are changing 12 diapers a day in that newborn phase. 3) NO Velcro!!! This was amazing because changing the baby so many times at this age, when we used the velcro wraps it would scare her to hear that ripping sound of the velcro coming apart and that broke my heart to see her jump out of her skin. 4) 2 zippers that you could use. You just zip the one from the bottom and leave her in the wrap and easy to zip back in. That way her arms never got disturbed. 5)The whole 'womb' feel. I wanted to be as 'natural' as possible. and the other swaddles were more, to me, as a ton of cloth strangling her (since they are SO small at this age), but this wrap was more like her being inside me. She could stretch and it would stretch with her, but still make her feel safe. I can't describe it better than saying it was like her being in the womb. Perfect. 6) It wasn't too hot for her. I read a lot of information about SIDS, and one of the many likely causes is the baby being TOO hot, by layering too much. This product was light and breathable. Perfect. 7) It has a little cloth pouch to hide the zipper at the top so it doesn't cut or pinch their neck. I hope that I helped you make your decision easier. This is the best, hands down, product for a baby until 1 1/2 months old. Nothing comes close! I buy them for all my friends showers now, whether they register for it or not and I tell them too keep it because it will be the best item they can't live without at this age. We now use the Halo wrap at her age now between 2-6 months.

Our daughter has a knack for wiggling her arms out of the swaddleme swaddlers, and gets angry when they are pinned down, so based on reviews I ordered this so her arms would be contained but able to be moved. The "0-3 month" sizing on these is ridiculous. Who knows a 3 month old baby that is less than 10 pounds? My daughter is 6 weeks now, is 22 inches and just broke the 10 pound barrier. This doesn't fit her at all. I don't know many babies who are still under 10lbs by 3 months old. This should be listed for newborns only. Halo sleepsack is still the only swaddle-type blanket I find to be accurately sized & work at containing arms. I guess we're just going to continue the battle with my daughter to swaddle down her arms before bedtime. Very disappointed with this product's sizing. Company must be run by a bunch of people who never had children.

This swaddle has been a life saver! Whenever I tried to swaddle my daughter she would squirm out of it. I no longer have to worry about her wiggling out of the swaddle during the night.

Now I use this swaddle every night. It is the only thing that keeps her arms in place all night. It zips up nice and easy which is great especially when she is fussy and moving all over the place. She calms down once she is all zipped up and snug. If it is a cool night I swaddle her with a blanket over this, since it is light cotton. Since I have been using this she sleeps 5-7 hours at night! And she is breast fed!
I love this! And she looks totally cute in it!

Overall, this is a great product! Our 5-week old daughter is able to maneuver out of even the tightest swaddle blanket by early morning, and sometimes she just wants some freedom to move without enough movement to whack herself in the head with flailing arms. The SwaddlePod allows her that freedom while still keeping her mostly contained. The only issue I have is that the material stretches out fairly quickly, and now she's able to get her hands out the top.

I was looking for a swaddle for my 13lb, 3 month old.....online it says it is for 0-6 months. Once the product arrived, the package says 5-10lbs......I haven't met many 10lb, 6 month olds. Annoyed I still have no swaddle and have to go to the store, I shopped online to avoid the trip out. Bummer. Wish I could review it's performance.

The first night we used this my 6 week old slept 4 1/2 hours. it really helps him sleep better through the night. Acting like "mothers womb". Not sure how i lived with out this theses past 6 weeks. Every parent who wants a good night sleep needs to hurry out a buy this. I have both the woombie and the summer infant swaddler me pod and they both work amazing only the summer infant pod is cheaper. I would buy this over and over again

The Swaddleme Pod is wonderful!! Our breast fed baby has slept 5-7 hours at night since birth and now at 10 weeks he's sleeping 8-10 at night. The other swaddlers that wrap around didn't work well for us. His arms would come out in the night and he would wake up. The one night we tried not using it at all, he woke up after 2 hours. I now give these as shower gifts. Buy 2 so you have a spare.

The Swaddlepod is the best invention ever! When I was pregnant, a friend gave me these and swore by them and I thought they were really funny looking and that I would probably not like them. Sure enough, once our son was born, we started trying out different swaddles to help him sleep. Immediately, he began sleeping longer in the Swaddlepod. He has been sleeping over 8 hours at night since 6 weeks. He does often get one arm out of the neck hole, so I put a long sleeved onesie on him underneath it to keep him from scratching himself in the middle of the night. The material is very thin and breathable which is great for summer months. Our son was only 6lbs, so my pediatrician recommended that I swaddle my son in a receiving blanket and then zip him up in the swaddlepod. Worked like a charm until he was big enough to fill it out better. I HIGHLY recommend this item and wish it came in larger sizes!
