The NoseFrida Nasal Aspirator reduces mucus in the nose, enabling babies to breathe, sleep and feed more easily. Due to its unique, mouth-operated design, you can simply position the tube near baby's nostril, put the red mouthpiece in your mouth and apply gentle suction. The NoseFrida is safe for your little one's sensitive nose. The replaceable hygienic filter prevents the transfer of mucus and bacteria. This aspirator is designed to be safe and effective for use on newborns and toddlers. The NoseFrida comes with 4 filters and a storage case.

Features

Easy to use

Using the NoseFrida couldn't be easier; simply place the large tube at the base of the child's nose and apply gentle suction through the red mouthpiece. Since the tube doesn't enter past the nostril and the operator controls the level of suction, you'll be able to remove excess mucus without irritating the sensitive lining of your little one's nose.

Hygienic filter

A moisture-absorbing, polyurethane hygiene filter prevents mucus transfer. This inhibits the transmission of bacteria between operator and child.

Kid-safe materials

The NoseFrida is made from BPA-free, latex-free polypropylene and contains no phthalates. All materials are non-allergenic, so this aspirator won't irritate baby's skin.

Includes 4 filters

This aspirator includes 4 filters, so you'll be able to use it over and over. For maximum hygiene, it is recommended that a new filter be installed for each use.

Product Description

Nosefrida, the doctor-recommended, non-invasive nasal aspirator, is the new standard in keeping babies snot-free. Ingeniously simple Swedish design features a tube that is placed against the nostril (not inside). Parents use their own suction to draw mucus out of their childs nose. Disposable filters prevent any bacterial or mucus transfer. Nosefrida is easy to clean, top-rack safe, and BPA and Phthalate free. It is superior to the bulb aspirator, presents no risk or harm to internal nasal structures and is dramatically more efficacious. Dr. Joseph Edmonds, MD, FAAP, Childrens Ear, Nose & Throat of Houston.

This is a great item. We got it after a recommendation from our pediatrician. Our little one would get a stuffy nose and we had trouble mastering the nasal bulb. We could get the little bit that was up front, but to get the actual pluged up stuff, it was impossible! Well it was until this little invention. The advantage of this is that you don't have to insert it into the nose. It creates a seal at the opening of the nasal passage. At first she would cry and get mad, but after using it a couple of times she realized that she could breath after, she doesn't fuss at all anymore. She hated the nasal bulb. If you want your baby to breath better get this!

I really wanted to like this product. I was tired of the constant struggle with my daughter when I used the traditional bulb aspirators, and was encouraged by the rave reviews for the Nosefrida. I tried it on my daughter (at 2 months old) when she had visible snot in her nose and COULD NOT get a single booger to budge. I tried the suggestions of using saline, as well as swirling the Nosefrida but nothing came out - and I sucked until I felt like I was going to pass out. My husband finally was able to get one booger to pop out, but he too sucked until he felt like he was giving himself an aneurysm. I don't know if we were doing something wrong - but it's pretty straightforward! i just don't understand how everyone gives this product such amazing reviews, yet we really hated it. I have the Bebesounds NasalClear now and it is 1000x better.

    Comments about Nosefrida Nasal Aspirator:

My daughter just got her 1st bad cold at 2-1/2 months. I was at a total loss cause the bulb was not working and she was super congested. Herd about this and was desperate so I tried it even though it sounded gross. Not gross at all. I will buy this for all my friends who are having babies.

This is amazing. I hate the bulb suckers because I feel like I am going to hurt my baby when she squirms. I tried one of those battery operated suckers and it was worthless. I finally bought this and it is AMAZING! I can get sooooo much. The only time I have trouble with the sucking is when I am sick as well. It does not stop a baby from squirming (in fact my baby hates it), but it gets soooo much out! I just swaddle her. I don't blame her. I wouldn't want something being stuck in my nose either. I would advise you to buy the extra filters. I don't change with every use, but I am out now and need more.

                Comments about Nosefrida Nasal Aspirator:

I put this on my registry purely because it was rated highly and is considered a parent must-have by so many magazines. At first, I was a little skeptical, as I wasn't sure how the 'snot' would be blocked from my mouth (it is blocked by a foam filter). In short, I used it this weekend on my month old baby and it is terrific - easily takes care of mucous without causing discomfort. Our hospital's baby class recommended a bulb nasal aspirator, but this seems to be far more effective.

                  It's not hard to maintain.
Don't like the replacment filter. It should be pre-cut and ready for usage.
I suggest that they make the filter alot better.

Works much better than the suction bulb. I was initially disappointed because I felt like it was not doing much. However I soon discovered that the nasal aspirator works best after applying one or two drops of saline first.

                      Comments about Nosefrida Nasal Aspirator:

I love this product. The only reason why I gave it 4 and not 5 stars is because, my daughter is a preemie so her nose is smaller than the average 5month old baby and I have to get creative because the nose part is made for a non-small nose. Using saline is very important, but this is much better than the blue hospital nose aspirator.

I got this after I read reviews on the electric ones saying they gave theirs up for this product. It's amazing! I really think the one bad reviewer just wasn't using it right. She probably wasn't creating a seal with baby's nostril because she didn't want to insert it too far. It will only work right if you create a seal with the nostril. I seriously tried so many different bulb syringes and even though some of them "worked" they didn't really do much. This really gets the job done and actually clears my daughter's nose!

I bought this before my baby was born because of the wonderful reviews. I wanted to be prepared. Good thing I did. When my baby was about 6 weeks old, she woke up majorly clogged. I whipped this out and she wasn't happy about getting the snot sucked out of her nose (who does?!), but after that she could breathe! For some reason, I like to see all the snot in the tube because it assures me that I did get it all out of her nose and it is making her feel and breathe better. It is gross. I did wind up getting a little sick also, but who knows if it is from this or just being around my baby?! I think it's from being around the baby. I plan on buying this for all baby shower gifts!
