This pillow is pretty but not functional. The baby falls through the center instead of being flat up against you which is recommended by the lactation consultant. It was difficult feeding with this pillow. I exchanged it for the Brest Friend pillow which works much better. It has a flat wide surface for better positioning, I would not recommend this pillow for first time breastfeeders like myself.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This pillow is amazing! I love that it doesn't wrap around your body, I had several problems with those pillows. With this pillow my baby is at the perfect height for breast feeding and I don't have to hold on to him thinking he's going to fall off like I had to do with the wrap around nursing pillows. I can also use this pillow to just lay my baby on and rock to sleep because it fits perfectly in your lap. The colors and overall quality of this pillow are amazing! I would definitely recommend to any mother that is going to breast feed.

This nursing pillow is much more firm than expected and than other nursing pillows. While it is firm, it is also soft enough to be comfortable for baby. It's a great height as well. I'm using this with my second child and appreciate that it does not wrap around my waist but this feature might make it a little difficult for someone just learning to breastfeed.
