Fireplace Guard's cushiony foam absorbs impact and lessens the chance of falls causing serious injury to young ones. Full-length double-stick tape keeps Fireplace Guard securely fastened and removes quickly and easily when no longer needed. This package contains five 18" sections (7.5 feet total) and two corner pieces that will accommodate most fireplaces. Trim pieces to desired length. Fire retardant, non-toxic and latex-free

        I put this on my fireplace hearth extension to keep my mobile baby away from the sharp brick edges. It has now been on for a year and a half and is still working perfectly protecting my very clumsy, busy daughter!
        It was very easy to put on, although it was 3" short on the front, even after adding the small pieces we had cut from the side ones. I just spaced them out with the other long pieces and we still haven't had any injuries; despite the tiny gaps.

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

              My son managed to pull them off when he was 8 months old. They no longer stick and I'm retaping them frequently. However, when they are on the fireplace, they are fabulous. Have saved a few bruises &/or cuts

              Like the actual product, It's nicely padded and looks good.. it just doesn't come with enough straight portions to fit a standard fireplace. Only works if you have a mini or very small one. Several of the guys at work had this same problem and returned thiers because you can't buy just a single straight segment.

              Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

                This is a great product. I have a brick fireplace with very sharp edges at the base. This was very easy to install, it blends in well with my deep red bricks, and it definitely cushions the sharp bricks. This is a must for fireplaces like mine if there are babies in the house!
