My baby boy loves this toy! It's his absolute favorite! He's 5 months old. He especially loves all the legs. I attach this to his pay mat as well as his car seat and bouncer. He really doesn't go anywhere without it.

I chose this as a baby shower gift for a friend, because of its great textures and soft sounds. I am not sure how the newborn baby liked it, because it was immediately carried off by a couple of toddlers who were at the shower. They were entertained by playing with it and fighting over it for about 30 minutes, so we all concluded that it is a definite kid-pleaser.

My husband scanned this when we registered because it had a funny name. Oddly enough, it has become my son's favorite toy. He is almost 5 months and has been playing with it for about 3 months. We attached this to his jumper, which has loads of toys on it, but this is his favorite. He loves the crinkly noises it makes. I just wish it was something I could throw in the washing machine.

My baby is almost 3 months old, and is just starting to notice and grab things. This is the first toy that he's ever actually wanted to play with so far!
He stares at Captain Calamari when he's hanging above him, and loves grabbing all the different arms. He loves chewing on his crinkly hat, too.

I got this as a gift for my baby, and it turned out to be her favorite toy. She is 3 months old, so this is the first toy that she is really interested in. Either when I hang it from her baby gym, or just sit her with it, she finds it attractive. It's also really well maid. Amazing gift!

This toy is awesome! Keeps my daughter entertained for much longer than any toy she has. All different colors, fabrics, noises (crinkling, rattle, etc.) and things to play with. A bit too big for a carseat in my opinion, but we just keep it clipped on to her jumperoo and it's perfect!

I got this toy for my son's carseat when he was about 3 months old, and immediately regretted not getting it sooner. About that time he was staying awake in the car, and was starting to get bored staring at the seat all the time, thus making even short trips into a cryfest. Enter Captain. Immediate turnaround, my boy saw this thing hanging off his handle and immediately screeched in delight as he pulled it toward him. It is one of his only toys that he uses EVERY day, since he's in the car about daily.

More than 3 months later, his love for Captain has not wavered. I'm still not sure he's found the mirror, as it is kind of small and he's too interested in the tentacles to look underneath. But he loves the rattle, teether rings, the crinkly hat, the different tentacle fabrics, everything about Captain is interesting to him. Now when he falls asleep in the car, he always has the rattle tentacle grasped in his little fist, which is very sweet.

This is a second purchase of Lamaze's Captain Calamari. The first was a huge hit with the youngest of my grandsons, so when we had yet another grandson, I had to buy another! I love all the learning and stimulation the babies get with these toys, and they LOVE them. I definitely recommend them!

My son has LOVED this toy since he was 1 month old, he is now 5 months and teething and LOVES to chew on this toy. It is a great size and he loves the crinkles and different textures of the toy!

I have washed this toy and it is still just as durable as the day I received it.
