I'm reviewing this travel system after 19 months of use! And I have to say, it's a pretty good. I got it in the color/pattern in "charter atlantic blue" . Here's the breakdown:

Stroller
pros:
-sturdy, broad, metal frame (don't know what kind of metal though).
-1-hand fold, self standing, self-locking
-large storage basket with spring-down access!
-large cup holders on...
-parent and kiddie tray
-multi position recline
-adequate padding, easy wipe-down clean, smooth nylon-type fabric, and in the color charter atlantic blue, dirt doesn't show as much.
-padded 5-point restraint
-front-wheel suspension
-good maneuvering (for this price range)
-"tires" not too plastic-y. Feels like rubber.
-spacious, holds child up to max 50 lbs
-good value
-durable. After 19 months, now being used by a messy toddler, and we're not exactly the most careful of stroller owners, it's still intact and holding up well. Just a little wear on the tire threads.

cons:
-It says it's lightweight, but not really. I wouldn't put it in the "lightweight" category of strollers. Just a standard stroller. I'm petite and drive a compact sedan, so to me it seems heavy/bulky and takes up a majority of trunk space. It's one-hand fold, but it does take 2 arms to lift in and out of the trunk.
-No peekaboo window on the canopy
-does NOT actually fully recline 180 degrees. don't know why it says that in the product info. i estimate it reclines to about 150 deg.
-handlebar height not adjustable or switchable to rear facing--> i guess this feature is only found in more expensive strollers? You can only do rear facing WITH the car seat on this system.
-basket, although large, drags on the floor when stroller is folded. You can reposition it to prevent dragging and tearing of the fabric.
-cover is not removable or washable. only wipe-clean.
-adjusting the recline position from the back is not smooth, requires a bit of tugging & pulling.

Keep in mind that these are points in comparison to other standard strollers in ITS price range, not to "luxury strollers," okay...

Carrier
pros:
-easy snap on/off to/from base
-plastic material is thick and durable and safe.
-padding is adequate and removable.
-light
cons:
-weight limit up to 22lbs only, rear facing only
-puzzle type buckle requires a bit of fumbling, newborns may not like it.
-side impact protection not as "wide" as say, convertible car seats. but this seems to be the standard width for travel system car seats.

It helps to read the manual for this system. One thing to note is that there's a gray rod on the stroller's handlebar that you have to move and attach to those holes on the sides of the stroller in order to secure the car seat to the stroller.

Happy choosing!

Overall the car seat is comfortable for my son once he's finally strapped in. The car seat has a puzzle buckle - need to fit the two pieces together and then clip it in. This has been an ongoing annoyance to my husband and me. The straps aren't very long either, so if my son is in bulky clothing, the combination of the short straps (at their longest adjustment) and the extra clothes result in frustrating crying moments as we're trying to get him strapped in. The stroller is fine - comfortable, easy to fold, with convenient storage, but compared to a more expensive model I bought, it is not very smooth or easy to maneuver. This stroller is not easily maneuvered with one hand, so going through the airport with a roller bag while pushing the stroller is not very easy. If I'd shopped around more before purchasing this product, I would not have bought it.

Comments about Eddie Bauer 1003438 Eddie Bauer Adventurer Sport Travel System Stroller - Charter Atlantic Blue:

I have had this product for over two years now and really find it to be reliable.
Pros- sturdy and durable
VERY easy to fold and unfold the stroller
I feel my children are very secure in the car seat. The car seat is easy to adjust the length of the straps. I found it very easy to snap in my children from the car seat to stroller and to the base. My babysitter found another standard base that works with this brand.
Easy to drive, lots of extra space for snacks, and drinks. Love the look of it too!

Cons- Not sure why they ever invented the puzzle piece fitting on the car seat and the straps could be longer. It is easy to manuever with two hands, but not with just one.

Comments about Eddie Bauer 1003438 Eddie Bauer Adventurer Sport Travel System Stroller - Charter Atlantic Blue:

I LOVE this travel system!!! It's very sturdy and easy to set up. Some people complain that it's "too heavy", it's not. If you want a super light stroller, it will be very unsturdy. The wheels are amazing and very easy to maneuver with. I have NO cons for this system.

I Can't stand this Travel system! I don't know how to describe it other then junk! First off its almost impossible to find another base, and the buckle on the carseat is like a puzzle. This carseat is so bulky and heavy!! Another thing I don't understand is the carseat doesnt latch onto the stroller.. it just sits there... most travel systems have the carseat hook on. I dont feel safe using it as a travel system. Next time I will deff read reviews and test it out before i buy!

Comments about Eddie Bauer 1003438 Eddie Bauer Adventurer Sport Travel System Stroller - Charter Atlantic Blue:

I bought this off of a website for really cheap and it was an amazing buy at first. Very easy to set the base up in the car, put the seat in the base and take it out. Might take a little practice to figure out the perfect position so it clicks in easily but I got it down pretty quickly. The stroller is very very bulky, I find myself running into people at the store, but the double cup holders and the little storage sace in between is super convenient. The back wheels have locks on them so you don't ever have to worry about your baby rolling away down a hill. My only real big issue is that my son, 9lbs 4ozs at birth and about 15lbs now at just under 3 months has already outgrown it on its biggest settings as a car seat and after a while the sunshade on the car seat will wear down and not stay up like it should. Keeghan hasn't even gotten to ride in the stroller itself without the car seat because he's too small for the stroller but outgrowing the seat. Kind of frustrating. Overall tho it was a great car seat while I had it.

There are ALOT of travel systems out there these days! We returned our first one due to it not adjusting for our newborn and it being cheaply made.(not all carseat bases are adjustable) This Eddie Bauer one is PHENOMINAL!!! It is very well made. Sturdy hard plastic, easy rolling wheels, very comfortable pading and locks on easily! Its slightly higher in cost but SO well worth the money! Our colors are different than this one (red, gray and black) but it is the same. I cant think of one thing bad on this. Possibly the basket underneath for storage may be slightly smaller than other models. (not a flaw tho) My newborn was only 6lbs and the base of the carseat is FULLY ADJUSTABLE, (unlike others) she sat very comfortable and it locks securely. My husband talked me into this model (true its not as girly or flashy like some others) but DONT let that be a deciding factor as I almost did. We are SO 100% happy with this system I cant stress that enough, and we are very critical and picky when it comes to baby products. You will NOT be disappointed in any way with this system! This is our 5th child and by far the best travel system EVER! PERFECT, EXCELLENT PRODUCT FOR BABY! I hope this helps other parents! :)

This has been a great product for us for a little over 3 months. I am a first time mama, and I read many reviews on these combos before purchasing. I love the colors of this item and the pictures do not do it justice. However more importantly, its very durable, easy to clean, and easy to assemble. My son almost always falls asleep while riding in this car seat. We have only used the stroller as a combo with the car seat attached on top. I am excited to use the front riding stroller on its own. Overall this is a great buy and we recommend it & will use it for months/ years to come.

This is a good quality travel system- smooth ride, easy to steer, nice fabric, light carseat. This past weekend, I took it out for a 2 mile stroll and it was so easy and enjoyable to walk that long with. My little guy was so comfy in the carseat and slept the entire time! The only thing that it loses points for is the stroller's weight when folded up. It's a bit heavy and awkward to pick up.

Im not impressed with this stroller. I thought we found the perfect one, I loved the colors and how easy it was to fold and lock into place but I have to say it is poorly made. Its not steady at all, very hard to steer, the bottom pouch drags the floor and the carseat is very hard to lock onto the base. Wouldn't recommend it.
