My sons were 3.5 when Santa brought their Tag Readers. This is a great book. It's challenging, they learned skip counting. Initially, they neede some direction but enjoy the activities in the book instead of just reading.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about LeapFrog TAG Activity Storybook - Pixar Pals:

This was the first tag book I bought for my boy who had just turned 4. There is a page where he is asked to identify even and odd numbers, which is not usually grasped until second grade (6-7 year olds). He ended up getting frustrated because he really wanted to understand it because he is such a fan of the Cars movie. There is also another page that asks to identify words with "ch", "th", etc... which again is something more geared for 5 year olds. Overall there are a few pages he can answer independently, but given the skills required to get through the book, this particular tag book should have been listed for 5-7 year olds.
