My 5 (almost 6) year old daughter has been riding this scooter for almost a year now. She rides it outside in nice weather and in our basement during the winter. I have to say, this has been a great scooter for the price! She keeps up with her friends on their Razors. My 3 year old son also rides it because his scooter has 3 wheels and he wants a "big kid" scooter like his sister. All the neighborhood kids ride it also, so it not like this scooter has not been ridden hard! It has also sat out on a few rainy days and this thing is still going!! I would recommend this scooter and if this one does not hold up by the time our other daughter is able to ride, I will buy another one of these.

I have twins so I bought 2 scooters for my 5 1/2 year old twins. One was a pink Razor brand and the other was the Barbie Ride With Me Scooter. Looks wise, this one is the cuter scooter. But performance wise, the Razor is a much better quality. The Barbie Ride with me does not ride as smoothly and makes a rattling sound. My girls can tell the notable difference in the performance of the scooters. I will be buying another Razor for my other twin.

I bought this scooter for my daughter's birthday. It broke a week later. The piece inside the scooter that holds it open is bouncing around inside. Not very durable for a young child.

The scooter is cute and pink -- would have been perfect! My daughter was very happy to get this, especially since it came with a matching scooter for her doll. Unfortunately this scooter lasted a whole TWO MONTHS before breaking. Not recommended. Going to stick with a Razor.

we baught this for our daughter in early summer and today she came down the street as it started to rain, when the wheels got wet she was unable to stop with the brake and continued to a steep hill and slid on the wet pavement sliding into an intersection at a high rate of speed, luckaly there were no cars coming down that street but if there were it would have been horriffic,
DO NOT USE IN WET CONDITIONS OR NEAR HILLS
