I have to agree with one of the other comments. The rails sit way too high. Besides the fact that my 2 year old needs a stepstool to get into bed, it just looks silly. Wish I would have known. I wouldn't have even bothered.

We had no problem ordering the bed rails even though our crib and accessories were discontinued. However, NO WHERE did it state if we needed the metal bed frame. We purchsed a full size mattress, box spring and metal frame while it was on sale and before the rails came in the mail. I was surprised to find that the rails come with planks so no frame was needed. HOWEVER, the quality was not as nice as the original crib also, the rails make the box spring sit about 12 inches off the floor. Nice for storage, but once you place the box spring and the mattress on there it was 33 inches high. WAY to high for a small child! I had to hop on the bed. So we are now returning our metal frame AND box spring and going to use plywood or a thin box spring instead. How ridculious! Any mention of the above on the product description would have saved us a big headache! Also I have found the convertible crib idea not worth the expense and headache it has been! Looking back I would have bought a regular crib!

Model number and product name not the same. I was expecting the product to say Babi Italia Eastside Rails not LaJobi Bed rails. Called Babies r Us and they could not pull up the model number on their computer and never heard of LaJobi. To make a long story short, I reordered the rails and sent back the order I received to find out that LaJobi is Babi Italia and I had the correct product. Also what is the point to have advertised as open stock when you are to discontinue this product is less than a year.

I bought the lifestyle crib when my daughter was born 2 years ago. We didn't buy the toddler or bed rails at the time because everything was already getting expensive for us and I thought erroneously that I could always get the additional items later. WRONG! The toddler rail is apparently no longer being sold and I've been waiting weeks for these rails to come back in stock. Even if this collection is being discontinued, the company should still make these parts available. What is the point of buying a lifetime crib when you can't even get the conversion kits later on?

I order this piece along with the toddler rail. I was also told at another babies r us that this crib style was going to be discoutinued. I was also told it would take 16 weeks to arrive but I receieved both pieces in 4 weeks. We are currently using the toddler rail and it is working out great, can't wait to convert to full size bed. So I guess I'll give this 5 starts because it came in soon than I expected.

I will start off by saying we have not set up the bed rails yet. We actually are not planning on switching from a crib to a bed for another couple months but, after reading the two previous reviews that stated the rails would take forever to get in, I thought I better order now. Of course I was surprised they came in less than 3 days with no issues what so ever!

I will review again once we set up but I am not worried. We loved this collection so much we got it again when we had our second child. This set is better quality than our own bedroom set!

We bought our sons crib just this past year (around July of 2011). I decided to order the bed rails to make it into a full size bed before the set was no longer available. I've read some bad stories online about cribs being recalled, discontinued, etc and parents not being able to get toddler rails and full size bed rails. Well... I ordered the bed rails yesterday and they said it would take 16 weeks until they came in! We have a day bed already to use as a toddler bed so we don't need those but if you are going to order these I would suggest to do it far in advance. The only thing I don't like is I asked the sales associate if there was a generic bed rail set that I could buy and she said no. After looking on Babies r us website they do have generic ones for half of what these cost. :( ugh hate it when they either lie or don't know what they talk about. Gave these four stars because it's not here yet.... But if it's anything like our crib we should be happy.

I am really upset this item was cancelled. I contacted the manufacter and they said I could only get this item through you. I would appreciate it if you could try your hardest to get me this simple part.
