When i found out i was having twins I was given a pre recalled drop down side crib that had been converted to a non drop down side crib with manufacturer equiptment. So i just bought the same crib (make, and model) that was made after the drop down side recall hoping they would match. The rail attaches to the most recent crib (version 2) but version 1 of the Babi Italia eastside classic crib is not compatible with this rail. Lesson learned. Buy your rail when you order your crib, not a year or so later.

The rail is sturdy and easy to assemble on the version 2 Babi Italia eastside classic crib (no issues there). Only issue is with the version 1 of this crib.

I waited two years to order the toddler conversion rail. I highly recommend you don't wait that long. I was fortunate that the products are still carried.Unfortunately when I went to the store to order the rail, the associated ordered me the completely wrong item. It is partially my fault. Although I had all of the original documents, the part numbers are not on there. Make sure you have the Model No (from the crib). The sales associate didn't ask me any of this anyway, but now I know.So lesson learned is do your own leg work. Do not rely on the sales associate to know what they are doing. If she recommended that I get the actual model no off the crib, I would have. I called the manufacturer to get the right number and then had to dig kind of deep into Toys R Us' website to find it.So now I have to return this item (free), but I am still out the $9 of original shipping costs and I have to pay for the second shipping too. Uuugh. I should know better. Check and double check.

I ordered this rail to go with our babi italia crib (we had ordered the bed rails when we purchased the crib but never got the toddler rail)several months ago in anticipation of my daughter being old enough. She turned 2 in July and I felt she was ready so we put the rail on a couple weeks ago. She's done wonderfully and the rail helps to 'guide' her from falling out. My only complaint is that the rail only goes on one way and my daughter slept head first the other way where the opening was. So I had to place her the other direction, although now she sleeps that way without moving. I just wish you had the flexibility to put it on either way. Other than that I'm happy with the purchase, just as I am happy with the crib. Next step will be the full bed conversion!

I opened these to use for my twins and they aren't the right size. They are too short and there is no way to attach them. It's sunday and there's no one i can talk to. I'm extremely disappointed. What a waste of money.
