Welcome to the grand opening of the LEGO Creator Grand Emporium! The LEGO Modular Buildings series continues with this spectacularly detailed three-story department store designed in a realistic scale with plenty of special building techniques and rare pieces. On the street outside, citizens carry shopping bags, send letters at the mailbox, admire the window mannequins or cool off at the ice cream stand while a busy window washer works above. Enter through the revolving doors to discover a ground-floor clothing department, complete with a cash register, a fitting room, hats, jewelry, perfume and even a selection of spare trousers. A brick-built escalator carries customers to the second-floor housewares department, which features glassware and golden plates for special occasions, and then it’s up to the top floor for the toy department, complete with a toy house and a push scooter and featuring an impressive chandelier above the open atrium. Up on the roof are a billboard and a skylight.

To be able to understand why LEGO has been successful for so long, just look to the name. LEGO originally got its name from founder Ole Kirk Christiansen who combed the Danish words "Leg Got" which means "play well". He later realized that LEGO in Latin translates to "I put together.         For all the people that bought this product or any other Lego product, call the Lego people and tell them about missing peices. I had a few missing peices. I called Lego and there was no problems getting the missing peices sent to me with free shipping. I have NEVER had a problem with Lego. I have hundreds of sets brought from every retail outlet.

            This is an awesome Lego set. I am an experienced Lego builder and it still took me a few hours to complete. It's always fun to find a build that takes more than a few minutes. This ranks as one of my favorite sets from Lego to date. Definitely a must have if you want to build a Lego town or simply want a great conversation piece. I would not recommend it for anyone less than the recommended age to build on their own though.

                  Grew up with Legos and had large space sets as a kid like "Galaxy Explorer" and others. This is a great set for entire family to help build. Great for a boy or girl. We have 4 buildings in this set and still growing. The Emporium is the "anchor store" in this series as it is the largest and stands out the most. Bought it on a whim at Toys R Us, since I have a friend who told me about it, spent [$] and instead of wife getting mad at me, she spent the most time putting it together. These sets are a huge conversation piece when we have friends and their children over, who can't wait to play with them. Definitely buy it, if you can find it!
