      I bought this for my 14 month old son to teach him farm animals. For the price and quantity of the product this was the best way to go! He loves them and enjoys putting them away in the bag it comes in. I was worried that maybe he would be too little for these; but they are made out of the same material as rubber ducks are and they squish easily. I think this was a great investment and he will get many years of use out of the.

          I bought this set AFTER I bought the Safari set. My Grandson enjoyed the Safari animals so much; I bought the Barnyard set for him to keep at his house. It is a great educational tool, interactive, you can help teach them to pronounce the animal names and practice their animal sounds. Like the others mentioned, the animals are soft and if you did happen to step on it, it won't hurt. His little sister loves to play with them too. Just one little criticism, and Animal Planet should know better; the baby calf has utters…… The "Mom" lion on the Safari is male, it has a mane.....

                    My son got these for his 2nd birthday and I don't know who is enjoying these soft plastic animals more him or his grandma. These animals are soft so they don't hurt if you step on them or if my child decides to chunk them at me or the dog and are big enough they are not a choking hazard. They also come in a carrying case for easy storage.

                      My mom and dad bout these for my 2 year old son as a Christmas present. Getting him to play with anything other than his cars is almost impossible but he LOVES this set! He even had to take the animals on the airplane with him to Japan. It was nice for him to have something to play with on the layovers. These are made of soft plastic, that is very durable so he can throw them and step on them without having to worry about somebody or something getting hurt. They also do not have the holes in the bottom like most rubber toys, so he really likes to take them in the bathtub and I don't have to worry about them getting moldy or distroyed with mildew. He plays with his animals almost everyday and loves to make the noises and pretend they are all friends...I noticed they have a safari mommy and baby set as well and will be purchasing it too. Great buy...would highly recommend it to any mommy and toddler :)
