All in all, it's not a bad child acoustic guitar. My seven year old son loves it! The images of Phineas and Ferb are great. The image of Perry is a plus! The only draw back I found, are the stings… I had to keep tuning it, after only a few minutes of play. I found an easy fix: I purchased better stings.

Nice....But Could Be Better

Purchased this guitar (with different graphics) for our oldest daughter (7yrs old) for Christmas. First thing I noticed was that the instrument is plastic instead of wood. I wonder if this could be a possible explanation to the guitar's inability to stay in tune? A friend suggested we try nylon strings to see if that helps. May have to give it a try.

I found it interesting that this instrument did not come with ANY kind of chord charts, picks or starter DVD/leaflet...especially considering this product is obviously intended for younger/beginning players.

Overall, this is a fun product that sounds fine (once you tune it) for someone just starting out but its inability to stay in tune may frustrate beginning players.

My wife picked this up for my boys. It took me 30 min to tune the thing. The guitars strings were as loose as spaghetti when I opened the box. The strings were cut too short so the low E loses pitch easily. And even after tuning you can't play a chord without it sounding like junk and instantly detuning.This guitar is a gimmick. They took a piece of junk and slapped a Phineas and Ferb sticker on it to get the kids' attention. If you want a real guitar for your kid to learn to play, go to your local music store. If you're looking to blow [$] on a worthless piece of junk, this one's for you.

We do the rewards for Disney and we picked this for a reward. I questioned my husband when my son opened it and the guitar was plastic. However it doesn't matter if it is plastic or not because it's only a starter guitar and its for children. In my opinion it's a durable plastic, and probably will last longer than a starter wood guitar. My husband also got a tuning app for his phone and tuned it, the guitar sounds great. My son also loves Phineas and Ferb which is a plus! He's played pretty hard with the guitar and it seems to last. I assumed that he would have had a broken string by now but hasn't. All in all its a great starter guitar and my kid loves it!

My daughter asked for this for Christmas. Thankfully my husband knows how to tune a guitar or it would be completely useless. When I took it out of the box I thought it was not very well made. After he tuned it, it sounded like a real acoustic guitar. My daughter even said, daddy you're making real music on it!

Our son has been asking for a guitar for a couple of years. This year we started looking pretty seriously for a 1st guitar. We read a lot of reviews and looked at a lot of stores. When we finally found this gutar it was perfect-great size,great color,great for a 1st guitat,and Phineas & Ferb-what more can you say! Our son loves it!!! The best Christmas gift!Now our other child wants one! Toys R Us got it here sooner than expected and in a brown box so he didn't know what it was. Packaged very well too. This was a great choice-guitar and store!!!!

I got this for my son's 5th birthday. He loves Phineas and Ferb and he takes a interest in music. His daddy plays guitar so i thought this would make a good beginners guitar. It is perfect. It is a real mini acoustic guitar. When tuned properly it sound good for all that it is. It is perfect for a smaller child.
