they say its a mini guitar but its not its a ukulele. guitars typically have 6 (there are some with more) strings and a ukulele typically have 4 (there are some with more).i bought this as a gift for my 2 year old niece because i want her to learn how to play and i love the instrument myself. before i gave it to her i tried i changed the strings to aquila strings because the ones it came with look like thick fishing string, then i played for awhile so i heat the strings and so it will stretch and she wont have to tune it up every so often.(new strings on any ukulele will fall out of tune if not streched it may even take a month really depends on how much u play it)i personally like this ukulele and might have to get one for myself but paint it. oh and its not wood its plastic. i like that because i believe around 1930s or so they started making plastic ukuleles that sound great but they stopped making them for whatever reason.

Not as pictured will be returned

I thought that I would be getting the guitar pictured with Cinderella (my daughter's favorite princess who she was for Halloween), Belle, and Auroa. Instead I got one with Aeriel, Rapunzel, and Tiana. My daughter doesn't know who those princesses are!! I don't see anywhere that the item may vary from one pictured. I would have a VERY disappointed daughter on Christmas morning had I kept the one I received from Toys R Us. Thankfully I have found it at another store online for half the price as Toys R Us!

I thought this looked like a cute present so I bought each of my 3 year twin girls one. I was very disappointed. The strings on each guitar are loose and don't make any type of sound what so ever. I am very mad I wasted my money on this product. I would not recommend it at all. My daughters don't even use them.

I bought this last year as a last-minute Christmas gift item for my daughter who was 5 at the time. I honestly didn't have very high hopes for it. The guitar is really a toy. It does not play in tune. My daughter doesn't take guitar lessons, nor does she aspire to, BUT this silly toy has given her SO much enjoyment. She THINKS she can play guitar. She THINKS it's in tune. She plays it and sings with it. Nearly a full year later, it still gets picked up and played with quite routinely! Amazing.

All my 3 year old wanted was a pink guitar from Santa and this was perfect for her. Small, like a ukelele. If you want a guitar for playing music, this is not the one, but again, perfect for my needs. Easy for her to carry around.

It's a plastic ukelele that appears to be exactly the same as the First Act plastic uke. That's a good thing because as a guitar it's really poor but as a ukelele it's not bad at all.

It needs new strings out of the box if someone wants to really play it as a uke and the tuners will need to be pushed in a little to hold pitch. A set of good strings makes this sound really nice and uke strings are cheap at any music store.

For little people - most excellent indeed. And it keeps them from getting hold of your real ukes/guitars to bang on.

It's a stringed instrument - that means you'll have to tune it often. It's what we do. Don't expect any stringed instrument to tune itself.
