The Ergo carrier is fantastic. I wish I would've bought it before she was born. If you are unsure, buy the infant insert. Here is some of what I love: no back pain at all, my child is completely secure, and the color (while not as pretty as I would like) stays pretty cool in the Texas heat.

Love the Ergo Carrier! It sits comfortably on my hips and does not put stress on my back at all! My six week old daughter loves being rocked during walks. We wanted something myself and my husband could both use that wasn't too feminine - this fits the bill. The only downside is that this carrier can get a little warm in hot weather. Took a little 2 person adjusting to get it just right, but now I can suit up by myself.

I originally bought a Bjorn, but it really hurt my back once my son got to be more than 9 lbs. On a friend's recommendation, I bought this... and I wish I had just bought it from the beginning! My son is now 20 lbs and I'm still carrying him with ease. I love this carrier and could not make it without it. This is so easy to use and so comfortable. I also love that it has a pocket.

Actually got this product as a gift from my in-laws, and we love it! We can take our son on our hikes with us, or even shopping. Really slick when I am grocery shopping, so I don't have to carry in the car seat and fumble around that at the store, or worry about leaving our son alone in the cart. My ONLY complaint is that our son does get a little warm when in it for more than 45 minutes- after taking him out and cooling him off, he has no problems going back in it. Super easy to put on and can pack into small areas. I keep our in our vehicle so I can pull it out whenever we need too. Buying one for my friend who is also expecting!

very soft, comfortable, nice on my lower back, easy to use... this is not quite working for me though because my baby likes to see out rather than look at my chest or the side and this carrier doesnt do that. also my baby doesnt like her long legs restricted so the infant insert was useless for us as baby must be frog legged inside the insert. still, the product is well constructed and breathable. i do recommend

After using the baby Bjorn for the first 3 months of my daughters life I had to stop since my shoulders and hips hurt all the time. My husband and I hike the desert of Nevada, Utah, and Arizona all of the time, so I needed something that caused no pain after two - five hours of hiking. This was the answer. I still bring it along just in case my four year old wears out at the end of a hike. I'm a size 20 and it fits with room to spare with the extender. I had a much smaller woman stop me on a trail (heading down and in pain due to her carrier) once, and asked what kind of carrier I was using, since I was heading up hill with a two year old on my back with ease. I also use it when traveling through the airport,to keep my child safe. She loves being able to people watch and talk to me. If you want a pack that you will use for years to come that causes no pain when worn over extended periods of time this is it! By the way I've washed it 30+ times and it looks and feels like new.

We tried this carrier out on my 3yr old and he loved it! We also got to try it on with a 5lbs newborn with the infant insert of course and she loved it. I think we made the right choose carrier and I can't wait to try it out on our new little guy the summer :)

Very easy to put on, extremely comfortable. Worth EVERY penny to me...

I've tried cheaper ones with my first child but he loved the stroller so it was ok to use, but then with my second baby he requries more attention and closeness so I tried the babybjorn and that hurt after about 15 mintues of wearing it so I went online to get the ergobaby and its awesome.

no pain, easy to put on, and more colors then just black and gray to choose from...I got the camel color. My baby loves it.

I haven't tried the piggy back position or the hip position with my baby yet..but the front position its very easy for me to put him in there.

I wish I would have went cheaper on the stroller because then this carrier wouldn't have me hestiate so long before buying it.

I bought this carrier to keep my baby close to me while I run errands and do housework. He loves riding in it since he's close to me and it's comfortable. I also used the infant insert because he wasn't big enough for the regular carrier yet. He fell asleep while I carried him around. The straps are thick and well made. I'm a large person, however, and had to order the waist extension. I'd recommend trying it on if it's possible for someone in doubt of a good fit.

This is by far the best baby carrier I have tried. I first started off carrying my son in the Original Baby Bjorn. After several months I began noticing all of the weight was distributed directly onto the shoulders and neck. After 15 minutes of carrying my son these areas would be aching in pain. I decided it was time to trade it in and move on up. I never imagined the Original Baby Bjorn would cause such pain as I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for." The Original Baby Bjorn isn't exactly cheap, a good $80.

After figuring out the Original Baby Bjorn is lacking the waist support I began searching for baby carriers that offered this. I came across the Ergo Baby and read review after review. I finally went to Babies R Us and was pleasently surprised to find they had it in stock. I tried it on in the store and never took it off! The weight is so evenly distrubed, I can now carry my son around as long as I need to and he's much heavier since he's growing each day.

The babies weight is distrubed onto your hips with the straps that go over your shoulders simply supporting the infant's back. I also love the option of covering my son's head with the built in hood. He tends to fall asleep when I put him in the Ergo baby so the hood gets used a lot.

This carrier also offers multiple carry positions: front, side and back. My son loves the front carry position when he's tired yet he loves the side carry position when he's awake and wants to look around. I've tried the back carry position on my two year old niece and she even fit in it. So I know I will get many years of use from this product, as my son is only seven months old.

I highly recommend this product. Again, "you get what you pay for," thus the price exceeding $100. The best money I have spent. Buy one, you won't regret it!!!!!
