Product Description
ERGObaby waist extension extends the circumference of the waist belt of our carrier by 8", from 43" to 51" on our standard model, and from 48" to 56" on our Sport carrier. We do not recommend using more than one waist extension. In addition, we highly recommend that the waist belt on the carrier not be extended further than a one-inch tab. This allows for easier adjustments.

Horrible buy! The extension belt buckle did not fit the buckle of the Ergo carrier I purchased the same day online. Waste of money!!

We got the Ergo organic carrier for my baby shower a few months ago. My husband needed an extra inch or so, so we thought we would just buy the waist extender so he could use it. For some reason, the clips on the carrier don't work with the clips on this extender. No idea why, but it's a waste of money if you get the organic navy blue Ergo carrier.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This is an awesome product and does extactly what its intention is... Giving us mommies who need a little more room, a little more room. I wear a size 16 and my hips are pretty big. I got my Ergo secondhand and it didnt come with an extender... which I REALLY needed so I could loosen up the straps to lower my baby into a position so I could nurse her. Works awesome. :) To the two reviewers who gave this 1 star..... Seriously??? A product rating is for the usability, effectiveness, and durability of an item.... not to say "Oh here is 1 star cause I didnt need one"! Just because your Ergo came with one doesnt mean we all have one... and that doesnt make it useless or a bad product or a waste of money (especially for us moms who got a second hand Ergo for 1/2 of what you spent and need a little extra wiggle room).

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Unlike the previous reviewer my brand new ergo did not come with a waist strap extender. After my baby was born my Ergo just barely fit around my waist(sz 18). This extender allowed me to use my Ergo much more comfortably. This is only needed if you are a bigger size. Now that I've lost some of the baby weight I no longer need this but it was a life saver postpartum.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Bought this as an extender when we purchased the ERGO carrier. Unbeknownst to us, the ERGO carrier we purchased now comes with a waist extender. There is no need to purchase this separately unless you have inherited a used ERGO or you have opened your new ERGO carrier and found that you did not receive the waist extender in the package.
