I saw this online and ordered it because it looked like such a cute book. It was an extremely cute book until I opened up the pages...it was SO loud and annoying and so loud that it actual sounded like static. There was no volume button, just an on and off button. I guess I could have just left it off but the book was meant to play the music. Anyway, I returned it.

I absolutely fell in love with this book while shopping for my sister's baby shower. I read it to my niece when she first came home from the hospital and everytime I went to visit; especially when I put her to sleep. Everytime the music would stop, she would grunt so I would re-start the music and keep reading. I read it over and over and over until she fell asleep. This book is great to read to newborns, as it is very soothing and comforting. I disagree that it is for ages 4+.

Although the book is recommended for 4 yrs, I think it is more than appropriate for children even under a year old. Never too soon to get them interested in books. This was a gift for my 3 month old granddaughter. What a delight! You can insert a photo of the child in it, and change it when you wish as the child grows. She loves it! The lights and sounds are appealing, but you can turn them off if you have enough. Since it's a sturdy hard cover, I'm sure that it will be read over and over by her Mom and Dad as she grows. It says all of the silly and special things that loving parents might say to a special little one.

this book is amazing i've been reading it to my daughter since she was 3 months! the lights and sound keep her attention and if that's not enough you can even personalize it with a picture in the heart cut out!!! this is one book that will last a lifetime and be cherished with each and every reading!! it had board pages so your child can help you turn them. there's nothing bad i can say about this book. we read it almost every day (some times more than once) i finally have to replace the batteries after 6 months of heavy use

My daughter who is 3 month old loves this. This is the only toy/book I could use to trick her to spend more time on her tummy. It's funny becoz she tries to catch the "dancing" lights. LOL...Plus, the music is soothing and easy on the ears.
