Originally I ordered the Newco Serenity model from Babies R Us which was slighltly more comfortable and less expensive but BRU made the mistake of sending me this chair, the Newco Taylor. I got it in Chenille fabric but in beige rather than chocolate. It took about two weeks for the chair and ottoman to arrive at the store for pick-up. It came fully assembled. Once my husband had it out of the box, I knew it was the wrong chair. I almost returned it but at 9 months pregnant, I didn't have the energy. I sat in the chair and decided that since it was my second choice anyway, I would keep it. It's a pretty nice chair. The only things I dont' like about it are that the chair has a way of almost ejecting you out of it when you stand (it kind of throws you forward) and that the back cushion is really bulky and stiff until you wear it down a bit.

This chair is the most comfortable chair ever! My baby is 7 months old and I have used it since we brought her home. It is the perfect size for me, I am 5'4". I can lay my head back and rest or even sleep very comfortably. On those super crabby nights where I am up with my baby time after time for hours, I sit in this chair and literally think about how much I love this cozy chair!! I also have the matching ottoman. It did take several weeks after we ordered it to get it, I think it was about 14 weeks, so order it early so you are all set when you bring baby home!

This chair has become the second bed for my wife and son. When he is too fussy to sleep, they rock (glide?) together until they are both asleep.

The back pillow is the exact right height for my wife to rest her head on without cramping her neck.

Few mornings arrive when I awake to find her in my bed...but I can always find her. She is resting comfortably with a 6 month old on her chest and her head on the back pillow gliding in her sleep!

Be prepared that this is a plywood-based glider (as is the matching ottoman) with hardware that is not reliable. For us, the stuffing/fabric has not been a problem. But with daily use for 7 months, the hardware underneath has broken twice, sending me to the hardware store to try to replace broken bolts. If you are not able to make these repairs, this is NOT the glider for you...unless you look forward to the inconvenience of trying to get it repaired via warranty. All in all, I would say this is a $250 glider with unreliable engineering that you'll pay [$] for. Hope this helps.

We had high hopes for this very comfortable glider and ottoman... these hopes were met for the first 4 weeks of use and it broke down on the 5th. It suddenly would stick as if it were catching on something when gliding both forward and backward. Additionally, it became very squeeky. Thankfully, we opted for the protection plan and hope to have it fixed or replaced shortly.

We tried this chair out in the store several times before purchasing it. We loved it every time, but we were reluctant to purchase it based on the other reviews that didn't exactly sing its praise. We bought it anyway and it has prooven to be perfect for us. I sit in it ALL THE TIME and mainly use it to feed/nurse my new baby. It is so comfortable and during those late night feedings I've been known to fall asleep in it. We will move it into the baby's room and use it for bedtime stories once she gets older. I must warn you procrastinators out there..[...] Once we finally decided to buy the chair I learned the hard way and was sooo sad that I wasn't going to have it by the time the baby was born. [...] I would recommend getting it really early so the baby can get used to the rocking motion..It will help them feel comfortable in it when they join the real world. Must get the matching ottoman as well!I could not be happier with my purchase.

I got this for a shower gift. I think the price is to high for the quality. We have had the chair for 3 yrs 2 of which it sat in a storage unit. It already has a hole in it and anytime someone sits in it the stuffing gets all moved around and it look sloppy and the staples are coming out of the fabric in some places.

It met expectations, didn't exceed. [...] After my husband carried it up to the nursery, we found a screw missing from the undercarriage, which explained the clicking it made while rocking...Overall it's not as quality as the price would suggest, although comfy. Fabric is fantastic. I find myself wishing it had a higher back already - I forsee the lack of real neck support to be a source of discomfort in the future. All in all, pretty nice but nothing that blew me away. Doesn't feel like "real" furniture and certainly doesn't feel like a [$] investment should, in my opinion.
