I really love these nursing pads. They absorb well and I leak a lot. I have had them for about a month and have only had to change a pad during the day maybe three times. However, I do have to wear a thicker bra. If I wear my more "comfortable" bra's it does leak through occasionally. If I wear my thicker one, it will leak through and then barely get the bra wet at all, just the pad is soaked. So I have day bra's to avoid embarrassment and wear my more comfy ones at night time. Also, they are not very discreet as is common with cloth nursing pads, so wearing the thicker bra keeps it discreet as well.

They are comfortable because I have stuck to the disposable pads before, but the pros end there. I decided to try these today and then left the house for a doctor's appointment. In less than an hour I had two big stains on my shirt! So much for "leak proof". I didn't think I leaked that much and I never had trouble with the Lansinoh disposable pads, I just wanted to save some money. Guess that's not going to happen!

I was hopeing that with these I would same some money. The first time I used these I leaked compleatly thru in less than an hour. They are just thick fabric there isnt anything that absorbs the milk. Maybe if they had a thin layer of waterproof material on the back they would be better, but theres nothing to stop your milk from going straight thru to your shirt. I can wear a disposiable one for much much longer and they are not as thick as these. I would suggest to not waste yout money on thses.

Comments about Evenflo 1001211 Ameda Washable Nursing Pads - 4-Pack:

I love Ameda's disposable nursing pads, but these washable ones are horrible! I wore them once, right after my son was born and they absorbed great, in fact, they absorbed leaks too well. The leak soaked right through the nursing pad, my bra and my shirt, leaving me with embarrassing wet spots that I didn't notice. Thank goodness I didn't go out like that. I discovered for my leaks (which were constant and pretty heavy), I needed the plastic-y backing that the disposable pads have on them. I would not recommend these or any washable nursing pads to a new mom until she knows her body. They are also bulky, and show through bras and shirts, especially after washing. They get all lumpy when you wash them, so they become more uncomfortable.

Comments about Evenflo 1001211 Ameda Washable Nursing Pads - 4-Pack:

I'm not a fan of these at all. When I use them I usually leak through them. I thought it would be nice to wash them and not keep replacing them but it's not worth it. I like the disposible ones a lot better. They are soft which I like but they don't hold much and I think you can tell I'm wearing them more then the disposible ones.

Comments about Evenflo 1001211 Ameda Washable Nursing Pads - 4-Pack:

I use these everyday. I am exclusively breast feeding my 6 week old (also pump 2x/day). I bought two 4-packs so if some are in the wash I have more on rotation. They are soft and comfortable and wash well. I do hang them to dry, as the edges get curled up if put into the dryer. They are a little more bulky than the disposable ones, but breathe better. They can be worn out in public and are not so bulky that they look bad. Love them!

I was using the Lansinoh nipple cream, which is very thick and tacky, after every feeding the first few weeks I was breast feeding. A residue formed on the pads, but washed off thoroughly when pads were washed in hot water.

I purchased these in an attempt to be more eco-friendly and because of the economic benefit. However, I soaked through them quickly and I did not care for the way the fabric came together at a point in the front. It was visible through my bra and shirt and they did not stay in place. I would not recommend these and will continue trying other brands.

Comments about Evenflo 1001211 Ameda Washable Nursing Pads - 4-Pack:

I really wanted to use a cloth reusable nursing pad so I wouldn't have to keep buying disposable pads. I was spending $50 or more each month on nursing pads. Until I found these nursing pads the only reusable pads that I could find were the "ultra thin" kind which are not absorbent at all. These are great thick absorbent pads that can be washed and used over and over.

I have tried many types of disposable pads including Johnson and Johnson, Gerber/Nuk, Ameda and Lanisol and if I wore them long enough I leaked through them all. I do not leak any more with these nursing pads than I did with the disposable kind. As with any type of nursing pad, if you don't pump or feed you will eventually need to change the pad or you will leak.

I, personally, have only leaked if I wore them more than 6-8 hours without feeding or pumping.

While not perfect because they can be seen through a thin bra and thin shirt and they will eventually leak, I think the pros far outweigh the cons so I give them a 5 out of 5 stars. I haven't found a nursing pad that I like better and I searched for many months through many different brands before I found these.

I would only use these around the house because you can see the lining of them through your shirts. They also soak up milk quickly & are often wet when I remove them. They also slide around in my nursing bras. The disposables are way better and worth spending the money.
