My son received this blanket when he was a newborn and has loved it from the start. He's now almost 4 and still sleeps with it every night. It has been washed so many times and is a little worn but that's to be expected after 4 years of use, does not have any holes or tears. We recently lost it on vacation so I'm glad babies r us still sells it, it definitely won't be the same but it'll work.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I absolutely love this blanket, and so does our son! My mom got this blanket for him for our baby shower, and he's been using it non stop since he was born. He's 11 months now, and it has been washed numerous times and has held up perfectly! It's still as soft as it was the day we got it and has not faded. We've taken it everywhere, camping, car trips, and vacations. In fact since it's his FAVORITE blankey, I'm getting a second one as a backup when one needs to be washed.

This blanket has a double layer that is only sewn together around the very edge. I had to go in on my own sewing machine and sew around the inside of the edge 2 times, about a from the outside edge and about a 1/4 inch inside of that one. Just so it would hold together better and not separate as much when laying it on the floor for tummy time. I also have this blanket in solid White with multi-colored polka dots. I bought them at the same time while pregnant.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Very soft and snuggly, BUT the two layers (front and back) aren't sewn together except around the edges. Since they are so soft/slick, they move as baby wiggles and the blanket gets all bunched up under baby.
