Product Description

The new 2010 Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stand-On Tandem Stroller is the best stroller for parents of two young children. If you go on any family outings this is the stroller to get! The unique Stand On Tandem design empowers your older child to get on and off the stroller without help from mom or dad. The Caboose is the perfect stroller for theme parks like Disney World, Sea World, and the local mall or park; it moves your family smoothly in these environments. The Caboose has made riding in a stroller a fun thing to do; especially for the older child sitting/standing in the back. They suddenly become so independent and you will notice it with the big smile on their face!
We listen to our customers' feedback and added more! Check out the new front seat recline (3rd position 150 degrees) that allows your baby to nap comfortably. During these nap times the reclining seat covers the rear bench seat, so older brother or sister will have to stand in the rear. We did not sacrifice the size of the stroller by stretching it, we wanted to keep the short, single stroller wheel base, making it the easiest handling tandem stroller - by far.
For even more comfort we have added a rear suspension and now all FOUR wheels will cushion the ride for your little ones. For added safety we have put in a linked parking brake, press on either pedal and both sides will lock. The Ultralight also includes the famous neoprene Joovy Parent Organizer. It is fully loaded with two cup holders, two pockets, a zippered pocket that's perfect for keys, cell phones, cameras, etc. Of course, also included is the car seat adapter, turning the Caboose into a travel system for two.
The improvements don't stop there. We designed a larger storage basket, and you will also find big side pockets accessible from the outside making shopping even easier. The new Ultralight has the familiar huge canopy Joovy is known for. You will love it on those hot summer days.

So far, I'm happy with the Joovy Ultralight. Being a mom of four children under age 6, I have gone through six other strollers. Having tried other double strollers, I knew what was important, and that was ease of use and weight of the stroller. This one is the lightest double on the market, which is a big deal when lugging it in/out of my vehicle. It opens closes quickly which is important in a parking lot with little kids. I am able to fit the baby comfortably in the car seat. The sit/stand feature is handy and I can appreciate that there is even a belt in the jump seat for my 2-year old who still needs to be "contained". If needed, I can fit a third child on the standing platform, one in the jumpseat, and one in the front seat. As far as taking corners and manuverability, it is the best one I've found in a double stroller. My other double strollers felt like I was trying to drive a semi truck. Storage capacity is just fine. I can easily fit a diaper bag. LOVE the extra big canopy--super important with little ones. The only thing I would improve is to have some kind of standing feature when the stroller is collapsed. As it is now, when I collapse the stroller, I immediately have to lay it on the ground, whereas other strollers can stay upright until you can get the trunk of your car open, etc. The fact that you have to immediately lay it down on the ground contributes to it getting dirtier faster. This is a minor issue in the grand scheme of things. Make sure you prioritize what is important to you when stroller shopping because I have yet to find the "perfect" stroller, but this one is close.

I would this for my 3 year old and my 16 month old. This thing is huge folded up took the whole trunk of my 2010 dodge caravan. It was hard for my husband to steer with just my 16 month old in it. My 3 year old was so uncomfortable sitting in it that I sold it 3 weeks after buying it. I couldn't return it because I threw away the box. This says ultralight but it's still really heavy. The only things good about it is the canopy great sun coverage and the 3rd recline position.

Comments about Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stand-On Tandem Stroller - Greenie:

Love this stroller. It is not bulky. Smaller than a shopping cart so super easy to get around anywhere. I have a 4yr old and 2 yr old. My two year old hates sitting, always wanting to run and walk freely. He loves to sit longer in the front seat with the cup holders on and buckled. My 4 year old its hard for her to seat comfortably with the seat leaned back on the first setting but she turns side ways so one she won't fall out if she is writing or drawing. two see can see both ways. 2 yr old is 24lbs and 4 yr old is 34 lbs so it is heavy at all to push. Loading in the car isn't hard at all.Done it in rain sun and wind and it was so fast. Yes the wheels and the locks have to be placed but it doesn't even take a second to do it. If i buy anything i just hand it to my 4 yr old and she slips it into the basket. It comes with the infant bar and the cup holder.

Comments about Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stand-On Tandem Stroller - Greenie:

This stroller is great. It is lightweight so easy for me to put into and take out of the van without struggle. My son is almost 2 and about 30lbs and he has plenty of room in the front seat. My daughter is 4 and 38lbs and she loves the back bench seat and she can get in and out easily and says that it is comfortable. I spent a little extra to get the bigger storage underneath and the added parents storage with pockets and cup holders. My only disappointment is that the handle bar does not adjust, although it is a perfect height for myself and husband, but it would be nice if it at least tilted. The green color is our favorite. Overall this is a great buy and I would definitely recommend it.

Comments about Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stand-On Tandem Stroller - Greenie:

This stroller is just amazing. It fits in the back of my Ford Focus hatchback with room to spare, which is a massive plus right there. I did TONS of research to find a double that would fit in my car. It gold up easy and is just as easy to open up. I love thy it comes standard with the infant adaptor rather than having to buy one like other strollers on the market. The canopy is large enough to cover both of my kids, this is something that I was looking for as well.

I've got two suggestions: 1. fixing the basket construction on the bottom. When two kids are in the stroller it's hard to put anything down there or get it out easily. 2. Possibly making a snap on tray that hooks to the bars for the bigger kids who want a snack when they sit down.

Comments about Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stand-On Tandem Stroller - Greenie:

I did my research extensively before buying a new "double stroller". I previously owned a Contours Double stroller that was nice, but bulky, big, heavy, and most stores are not double stroller friendly. Plus my kids are moving out of the stroller phase so i wanted something a little smaller and lighter to get around. The Joovy Caboose Ultralight is definitely light! Even my mom was impressed and excited to use it. It takes up minimal space in the van and stores easily in the garage when I don't need it. The front seat is great for my 3 year old although her and her brother who is 4 fight over the "jump seat" in the back. It's super stylish and a lot of moms give me the stroller envy look!
        Okay the cons:
The Jump seat or sit and stand area is small, Plus the seat in the back is not comfortable nor does it lock in place. My son wanted to sit under his blanket when we were visiting Maryland because it was literally 8 degrees outside, but he kept sliding around. My husband was convinced the seat does lock in place but it does not. The seat does not lock to give you access to the basket underneath which is my next con. The basket is super small!! It's basically useless for the average size baby bag. I had to get the mom hooks and clip their book bag to the handle.
overall i would buy the stroller again, i just wish Joovy would do something about the back seat.

Comments about Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stand-On Tandem Stroller - Greenie:

I bought this stroller for my 3 year old and 2 month old. I was a little concerned that my 3 year old, who is very tall for her age, would be too big for it, but she fits perfectly, even when the car seat is in place. She loves that she has the option to stand, and it's so much easier now that she can just hop on the back herself, rather than my having to put her in.

Since I mainly use the stroller for long walks in our neighborhood, which includes a fairly busy road, I bought the extra seat (sold separately) for my 3 year old to sit in in case she got tired of standing. She loves it and has plenty of room! I'd definitely recommend buying the extra seat if you get this stroller. It's super easy to attach, and you don't even have to take it all the way off if your child decides she wants to stand instead of sit--you can just unhook its side straps, fold the seat down, and your child can just hop on the standing platform on the back.

Other pluses are that it is easy to assemble. It's also easy to fold and unfold. I was worried it wouldn't fit in my Honda Civic's trunk, but it fits easily! The parent organizer on the handle is so convenient, and the stroller is actually easier to push than my old single stroller (a Peg Perego). Even with the infant seat on the front and my 41lb toddler on the back, I can maneuver the stroller over curbs just as easily as I could with my single stroller by stepping on the back and lifting up the front. It's also great "off-roading" on grass and other bumpy terrain. I really can't say enough good things about this stroller.

There are a bunch of videos on Youtube that you can watch to see it folded and unfolded yourself, and to see what it looks like with children riding in it, plus the car seat.

My ONLY complaint is that the back seat does not have a backrest for my older child which makes long stroller days more difficult; However, all i have to do is take a small pillow to put behind her and we are good to go.

The underneath storage area gives more then enough room for my things

This is a great stroller in concept. However, when the baby carseat is buckled in, there is hardly any room for my toddler to sit in the "big kid" seat. It will work much better when the front seat is all the way up. Otherwise, I'm happy with it but it's hard to get her to sit in it because it's too uncomfortable for now.

Comments about Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stand-On Tandem Stroller - Greenie:

We have owned this stroller for a couple of months now, and love it. I was deciding between this one and the regular Joovy Caboose, and decided to go with this one because of the larger canopy and the fact that it lighter weight. It does get a little heavy when pushing it uphill with two kids in it, so I can't imagine how heavy the regular caboose would be. We use this often for walks through the neighborhood, and it steers great. I have an infant and a 3 1/2 year old who can never make up her mind if she wants to walk or ride, so this is the perfect set up. Even with the infant carrier on the front, she still has plenty of room and you can use the straps on the jumpseat to buckle it in place so it doesn't move. I love that it has a buckle for when she is seated in the back. I do wish it had an adjustable handle though; I am 5'4", and the handle is a little tall for me. That is my only complaint; otherwise the stroller was a great purchase.
