I recently bought this electronic shield because my twins are in to everything and constantly touching all the buttons on our DVR. Unfortunately the shield is not worth the money. My twins constantly pull it off the DVR all the time. It just sits on your electronic and doesn't have anything to keep it on. So my boys always just pull it right off. Save your money, it serves no purpose!

Comments about Safety 1st Electronics Shield:
The product works on one component but not my XBOX One. He can turn it on and off by pressing against the plastic.

Didn't work for larger electronics

First off, it's not wide enough for current electronics. I tried on the cable box, and receiver. The receiver is 2" taller than the guard, and the bottom part that anchors it in place barely reaches the receiver feet, so it's easy to pull out. Also, if you have buttons that stick out on the front of your electronics you can push on the guard and press buttons.

The shield does cover the main buttons to our electronics. However, it's not long enough to cover our entire DVD player or cable box:( it needs to be about 3-4 inches longer. It's a good concept for those curious fingers.

My child pull it of the electronics
Good to protect TV buttons from 2 year o
Wasn't very sold on the velcro so I didn't even try it; instead I used the 3M strips on my tv to attach it over the buttons. My son has not touched it since b/c he can't. Our flat screen tv is a sony bravia with buttons on the side and it works great.
Not exactly what I was expecting

I got this product to try to stop my daughter from playing with our cable box. While the product itself was not what I was expecting, I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised at how it stopped her from playing with all of the electronics over there.

With my first I used it to block the screen now I use it to block the Xbox one! One size fits most so slide it all the way in since there is no side cover

My 1 year old became obsessed with pushing the buttons on the DVR. This shield works perfectly and because it's clear you can't see it at all. My husband didn't know it was there until I pointed it out.

We use this for our DVR box because it is too small for some of the other appliances (i.e. surround sound). My son has gotten it off twice, but overall, he seems much less interested in the DVR now that it's more work to get to the buttons. It has really saved the day in the middle of a movie or game when my son would LOVE to change the channel of turn the box off. :)
