Sad to say but the product stinks. Can't hardly hear the other person talking through it nor does the buttons work to call someone. Only hear the buzzer on your own walkie talkie. I am tempted to return it...I would expect a cheaply made product like this if I only paid a few bucks but we paid a decent price and we expected a decent product. Very disappointed.

These walkie talkies had so much static you couldn't hear what was being said. The kids were very disappointed with them and so was I.

I should have read reviews before getting thi terrible things...They look SO cute so Santa got this for my son. Its very hard to hear anything...if you want walkie talkies, spend a little bit more and get a better quality one...The only way to hear a little bit is almost licking the walkie talkie...From now on I will start writing reviews so other people DONT waste their money like I have done soo many times...

The Sonic Walkie Talkie barely worked. Could faintly hear the other person from 1 room away & what you could hear was mixed with static. The Shadow Walkie Talkie worked ok. Fresh batteries were used, no improvement.

Bought these for my son since he has turned into a huge Sonic fan. Much to his disappointment, they didn't even work!! It's pretty hard to explain to a 3 year old that his super cool( his words) toy is a pile of junk. We exchanged them for the same thing and can you guess what happened??? The same thing!!! I definitely wouldn't reccomend them to anyone!!

My husband purchased this product for our two sons ages 6 and 3. Initially when they couldn't hear or understand one another, we thought they simply didn't know how to use the walkie talkies. But we tried them ourselves and it was a garbled mess. Regardless of distance, you could neither hear nor understand a single word being said by the other person. All you will hear is static, static and more static!

Don't waste your hard earned money on this product.

My boys were very excited about getting sonic the hedghog walkie talkies. But they did not function as walkie talkies. The only time the units would transmit thier voices back and forth was when they were standing in the same room. They may be cute, but they do not work. Don't waiste your money.

I bought these for my sons birthday. What a worthless piece of junk. Don't let the cute looks fool you. There is no volume control. You can hear the other person screaming better than any sound coming through the walkie talkie. It's hard to believe that Toys R Us still carries this product.
