      I needed this to interchange the car seat from car to car and I found that choosing another base was the best option!!I dont thinkit is bulky or heavy nor is it hard to install.If you read the manual then all is good!!!

      This product is very well made and durable. The downside of this product is that it is bulky and heavy compared to other bases. It was hard at first to get the restraints clicked into the LATCH system in our vehicle. The clips do not unlatch as easy as other bases from other brands which makes it harder to move (we move ours from the middle to the side if we have our niece with us so we can fit her carseat). It is great to have the option to have 1 carseat with a base for each car.

        I found the car seat at one place but they did not carry the extra base. We purchased the car seat for our grandson and needed an extra base for our vehicle.
