I waited to write a review because of the poor reviews this product received. We have NO complaints at all. My daughter got this for her 4th birthday six months ago. She loves it and still will play with it everyday. I wish I could find a boy version of this for my son. The TV is cool. The kids can watch themselves sing. We use the TV screen as a night light as well. It is very popular during playdates. I would recommend it. Only bad thing is it looks like it is a fifty/fifty chance you will get one with no problems.

Got this for my daughter a few weeks ago for her 5th birthday. Even though I had read some bad reviews on it I just thought those people had gotten a defective product and thought I might get a good one still. The cd it comes with got stuck in the player and the player broke within the first hour (and that's with adult supervision). You can't even recognize your image on the monitor because it looks like a tv without an antenna from the 70's, so my daughter never did get it that it was intended for her to see herself. The amplification sound is okay and the design is really cute but if that's all you are getting I wouldn't pay more than $40 for it (I paid [$] plus tax) but I'll be returning it and getting her something else for the money. She didn't get attached to it so I have permission.

Do not purchase this product I ordered in Dec 2012 as a Birthday present for my grandaughter, we were at my grandaughters birthday party and thought it would be fun to have the kids sing, took it out of the box and it did not work at all, I ordered a new machine and it worked for at least 10 minutes and it shut off and would not come back on. This product is poor quality for the price. I contacted Toys R Us and I am now shipping the defective product back and getting this money credited back....DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT NOT WORTH THE DISAPPOINTMENT TO YOUR CHILD!!!!

Our 7 and 4 year old love to sing so I thought this would be one of the best Christmas presents ever. Boy was I wrong! It worked for all of a few hours. If I hadn't been there when it quit I would have blamed the kids for mistreating it! My older daughter was holding the mic and it just quit. Worst Christmas present! Now I get to pay for return shipping b/c I bought it online and was told that's their policy, I get to pay more money for a lemon of a product in order to get my money back. I am going to start buying from our local retailers again... at least then I can just drive it back and not pay an expensive return shipping cost! I thought I just got a lemon but reading others reviews, you've been warned, they are all lemons. Not impressed!

Me and My husband purchased the machine as a Christmas Gift for our daughter. We thought it would be a great toy for our six year old because of the size and sturdiness. We were disappointed by the sound quality of the device and when we connected it to our TV all we got was a blue screen and muffled music.

I got this for my 5yr old for Christmas. We opened it and within minutes of plugging it in and using it it broke. My husband and father determined there must be a short in the system, because there was no way to play a CD while having the video & Microphone on.
***Dont buy this. Not only did the machine break,we were directed to contact the manufacturer that could care less

After great difficulty ordering and actually having it be in stock (as listed on website, once for buy and pick-up - canceled, second time for shipping bought and fifteen minutes later emailed to say backordered) it finally arrived two dys before Christmas - whew! Only to be opened Christmas morning by my six year old to find that her vocals are so quiet coming through that she really can't be heard (anymore than her simply standing next to the machine singing without the mic). If you put your ear next to the machine you can tell her voice is coming through. Tried all troubleshooting, played with every dial and button, no change. To boot the video quality makes a [@] security cam look like something you'd shoot for IMAX with, it is AWFUL. I have asked my daughter if I should attempt to return this to the "elves" for repair or to replace with something else if they can't fix it, she agreed immediately saying it really wasn't fun the way it is. Big bummer for 6 year big santa present!
