I needed an alarm clock and thought this would be perfect. The "hello kitty" part was a plus. I read the last review & it's true! I think I woke up in the middle of the night to hear the ticking. It doesn't bug me too much. I really like it. It's nice and loud in the morning & reliable of course! I recommend it!

        I bought this as an extra alarm clock. It is unfortunately very loud when it ticks. It's not a sweep hand and you can hear every tick, even from across the room. It's cute and could work in another room, but it's hard to sleep with this thing in the bedroom.
