I liked the ease my daughter (6yrs) could start the game and was able to play without help.
The reading part was a little hard for her at first but because of it she actually showed progress in reading at school.She likes it so much she plays with it almost every day.

This game was harder than we thought it would be for our 7 year old. Her biggest complaint is that there isn't a way to "save" where she is when she's ready to be done playing. Everytime she plays it she has to start ALL OVER. That's not any fun. Wish it just picked up where she left off.

I bought this game for my nine year old daughter for Christmas this year..She said she loves this game..The instructions are pretty clear but be forwarned that there is a lot of reading involved and it is age appropriate for my daughter..She needed no help with it at all. I've completed the game myself and it is a fun game..It's basically based off the movie but in story book form and you have missions to complete..For example; You come upon a little girl and her brothers while walking through the forest and she tells you how she's lost her kitten and would like your help finding it and so you have to back-track until you find the kitten and then return it to the child..There's a lot of situations like this throughout the game and a few mini-games, such as encouraging some the animals you meet to become your friend by tracing the patterns that appear and "painting posters" and other mini-games..I rated this five stars because my daughter loves it and its not complicated at all for her..However, for others, depending on the age and reading level of a child, I can understand where it would be aggravating because there is a lot of reading involved...You must know how to read to fully enjoy this game..The only thing I didn't like about it is that in my opinion the game coul've been a little longer for the price paid..With that said though however, I recommend the game
